Mr. Mastick introduced a bill (Int. No. 1408) entitled "An act to amend the General Municipal Law, in relation to the definition of a taxpayer," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1409) entitled "An act to amend the General City Law, in relation to the definition of a taxpayer," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.

Mr. Pitcher introduced a bill (Int. No. 1410) entitled "An act to amend the Conservation Law, in relation to nets in Chaumont bay and adjacent waters, " which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on conservation.

Mr. Karle introduced a bill (Int. No. 1411) entitled "An act to amend the Inferior Criminal Courts Act of the city of New York, in relation to the clerks and clerks' assistants of the city magistrates' courts," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on codes.

Mr. Nicoll introduced a bill (Int. No. 1412) entitled "An act to amend the Domestic Relations Law, in regard to applications for marriage licenses," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on general laws.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1413) entitled "An act making an appropriation for the payment of the counsel fees and expenses incurred by Joseph E. Corrigan in successfully defending a charge of criminal libel," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on finance.

Mr. Antin introduced a bill (Int. No. 1414) entitled "An act to amend the Inferior Criminal Courts Act of the city of New York, in relation to the commitment of persons convicted of public intoxication, disorderly conduct or vagrancy," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Antin, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on codes, retaining its place on order of third reading.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1415) entitled " An act to amend the Inferior Criminal Courts Act of the city of New York, in relation to the commitment of females convicted of certain offenses,' which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Antin, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading and referred to the committee on the judiciary, retaining its place on order of third reading.

Committee on Finance introduced a bill (Int. No. 1416) entitled "An act making an appropriation for increased compensation and commutation of employees of State institutions, charitable, reformatory or otherwise, reporting to the State Superintendent of Purchase," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee of the whole.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1417) entitled "An act to amend the Insanity Law, in relation to salaries of officers and wages of employees, and making an appropriation therefor," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee of the whole.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1418) entitled "An act to amend the Prison Law, in relation to the compensation of guards in State prisons and reformatories, and making an appropriation therefor," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee of the whole.

The Assembly sent for concurrence the bill (No. 1545, Rec. No. 261) entitled "An act to amend the Education Law, in relation to time of maturity of bonds of common school districts,' which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Dick, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1741, Rec. No. 262) entitled "An act to amend the Highway Law, in relation to reduction of cost in the award of contract for highway improvement," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Ferris, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1761, Rec. No. 263) entitled "An act to amend the Penal Law, in relation to use of hydroaeroplanes on certain lakes," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on codes.

Also, a bill (No. 970, Rec. No. 264) entitled "An act to amend chapter nine hundred and twelve of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty, entitled 'An act allowing and regulating boxing and sparring matches, and establishing a State Boxing Commission, and making an appropriation therefor,' in relation to advertising admission prices," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on finance.

Also, a bill (No. 35, Rec. No. 265) entitled "An act to amend the Civil Practice Act, in relation to amendment of final judgments in divorce actions," which was read the first time and by

unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on codes.

Also, a bill (No. 1115, Rec. No. 266) entitled "An act to amend the Banking Law, in relation to the application by investment companies of collateral securities to the payment of promissory notes, " which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on banks.

Also, a bill (No. 1450, Rec. No. 267) entitled "An act to amend the Real Property Law, in relation to filing maps of property located in the town of Hamburg, Erie county," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on general laws.

Also, a bill (No. 1452, Rec. No. 268) entitled "An act to amend the Town Law, in relation to town board and public improvements in certain of the towns in counties having a population of over five hundred thousand and a city of over four hundred thousand," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Gibbs, and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1323, Rec. No. 269) entitled "An act to amend the Penal Law, in relation to barbering on Sunday," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on codes.

Also, a bill (No. 1066, Rec. No. 270) entitled "An act to amend the Civil Practice Act, in relation to the disposition of the proceeds of infant's personal injury action," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Hickey, and by unanimous consent, said bill was substituted for Senate bill No. 362, Int. No. 357, now on the order of third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1186, Rec. No. 271) entitled "An act to amend the Town Law, in relation to the establishment of water districts in towns, and the election of commissioners therefor," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Thompson, and by unanimous consent, said bill was substituted for Senate bill No. 875, Int. No. 829, now on the order of third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 1588, Rec. No. 272) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, by imposing an estate tax on estates of resident decedents, which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

Also, a bill (No. 983, Rec. No. 273) entitled "An act to amend the Judiciary Law, in relation to appointment of a warden to the grand jury in Queens county," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.
