"Mr. Jackson, from the committee on Schools and Seminaries of Learning to whom was referred the Resolution authorising the Treasurer to borrow money, reported the same without amendment.

On the question, Shall this resolution be read a third time?

It was determined in the affirmative.

A message from the House of Representatives by their Clerk"Mr. President, The House of Representatives have passed a Resolution fixing the time to which the Legislature shall adjourn, in which they request the concurrence of the Senate.

They have concurred in the amendments proposed by the Senate to the bill entitled "An act to alter the names of certain persons," Also in the amendment proposed to the bill entitled "An act in addition to an act entitled an act for laying out Highways."

The Speaker of the House of Representatives having signed the nine bills last reported by the committee on engrossed bills, as correctly engrossed-I am directed to bring them to the Senate for the signature of the President."

And he withdrew.

The President signed the said bills and they were delivered to the committee on engrossed bills to be laid before the Governor.

The Resolution fixing the time to which the Legislature shall adjourn-which is as follows-Resolved, That when the Legislature adjourn, they adjourn to meet on Wednesday the 21st day of November next, being under consideration.

Resolved, That the Senate do concur in the said resolution.

Ordered, That the Clerk notify the House of Representatives acrdingly.

Mr. Drown, from the committee on engrossed bills, reported that they had examined and found correctly engrossed bills with the following titles, viz.

"An act to incorporate the Rockingham Mutual Fire Insurance Company."

"An act to incorporate the Contoocook Cotton and Woollen Factory."

"An act to provide further for the collection of taxes in certain cases."

"An act to incorporate sundry persons by the name of the Portsmouth Whaling company."

Mr. Williams, from the committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred the bill entitled "An act to incorporate a town by the name of Carroll," reported the same without amendment.

On the question, Shall this bill be read a third time?

It was determined in the affirmative.

Resolved, That the rules of the Senate be so far suspended that said bill be read a third time at the present time.

Whereupon, said bill was read a third time.

Mr. Williams, from the committee on Engrossed Rills, reported that they had examined and found correctly engrossed, bills with the following titles:

"An act to incorporate the Ashuelot Manufacturing Company." "An act to incorporate a company by the name of the proprietors of the Gilmanton Village Manufacturing Company."

"An act to incorporate Pine River Company."

"An act to alter the names of certain persons.'

And "An act in addition to an act entitled an act authorizing an action of replevin in certain cases, passed June 30, 1825."

Mr. Farrington, from the committee on Incorporations, to whom was referred the bill entitled "An act to incorporate the Amherst Steam Mill Company," reported the same without amendment.

And also two addresses for the removal of certain officers in the militia.

The House of Representatives concur with the Senate in the passage of a bill entitled "An act authorizing the Sheriffs of the several counties in this State to remove prisoners in the county gaols in certain cases."

And he withdrew.
