Mr. Slater moved that the committee on finance be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 1712, Int. No. 1266) entitled "An act making appropriation for deficiencies in appropriations heretofore made for the salary of special deputy excise commissioner of the county of Westchester.'

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Ordered, That said bill be restored to its place on the order of third reading.

The Senate bill (No. 1683, Int. No. 1213) entitled "An act to amend the Agricultural Law, in relation to sale of cattle, sheep,

hogs, and calves on commission," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Gibbs moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on agriculture, with instructions to said committee to amend and report the same forthwith, to be reprinted as amended and restored to its place in the order of third reading.

The Assembly bill (No. 1101, Rec. No. 316) entitled "An act to amend chapter six hundred and thirty-one of the Laws of nineteen hundred and six, entitled 'An act in relation to the water supply and water department of the city of Syracuse,' in relation to the use of the water supply of the city of Syracuse by municipal corporations in the town of Skaneateles," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Walter moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on affairs of cities, with instructions to said committee to amend and report the same forthwith, to be reprinted as amended and restored to its place in the order of third reading.
