of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblame-
able and unreproveable in his sight. Coloss. i. 21, 22. Who
gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all ini-
quity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous
of good works. Titus. ii. 14. According to his mercy he
saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing
of the Holy Ghost, Which he shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Titus. iii. 5, 6. Ye
are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality
and power.
In whom also ye are circumcised with the
circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body
of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.
Coloss. ii. 10, 11.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be
called, The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass
over it; but it [shall be] for those: the way-faring men,
though fools, shall nor err [therein,] No lion shall be
there, nor [any] ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it
shall not be found there: but the redeemed shall walk
[there.] Isaiah. xxxv. 8, 9. And I will give them one
heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: and I will
take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them
an heart of flesh. That they may walk in my statutes,
and keep mine ordinances, and do them. Ezek. xi. 19, 20.
And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to
walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments,
and do [them.] Ezekiel. xxxvi. 27. That we, being deli-
vered out of the hand of onr enemies, might serve him
without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him,
Luke i. 74, 75. For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son.
Romans. viii. 29. Elect, according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit,
unto obedience. 1 Peter. i. 2.

the vanity of their mind. Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart. Who being past feeling, have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. Ephes. iv. 17, 18, 19. For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries. 1 Peter iv. 3.

And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give

the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the
reproach from Israel? for who [is] this uncircumcised
Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living
God? 1 Sam. xvii. 26. Then said Saul unto his armour-
bearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through there-
with, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me
through, and abuse me. 1 Sam. xxxi. 4. And when Peter
was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circum-
cision contended with him, Saying, Thou wentest in
to men, uncircumcised and didst eat with them. Acts
xi. 2. 3.

Ye shall not eat [of] any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that [is] in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure [therein;] which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all]. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. Heb. x. 5, 8, 9, 10, 19, 20.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Gala. iii. 27, 28. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor
