IT is with extreme regret that we are not enabled to give TWO PLATES OF FASHIONABLE COSTUMES OF THE MONTH, in the present Number as usual; owing to a DISAPPOINTMENT on the part of the ARTISTS, it has been found impracticable to have the Plate Coloured in the manner which the Original Drawing deserves, in time for Publication of this Number; but in order to prove to our Subscribers that we are actuated only by a resolution to render this Work complete in every respect, we shall give the Plate of Fashions, now delayed, IN OUR NEXT NUMBER most beautifully and characteristically coloured, IN ADDITION to the TWO OTHERS of equal merit, which are now in preparation; so that our Subscribers will, by that means, have ample gratification for the delay, by more than usual exertions to please them; and this effort may serve as an earnest and proof of our future exertions to maintain a grand superiority in the style and execution of our Embellishments in every succeeding

Number.

On the 1st of January, 1812 (with the next Number of La Belle Assemblée), will be Published also, our

SUPPLEMENTAL NUMBER,

Completing the FOURTH VOLUME of the NEW SERIES, richly Embellished. The Literary Department of the SUPPLEMENTAL NUMBER, includes an Analysis, and Retrospective and Critical Account of the principal LITERARY WORKS of the Year 1811. With TITLE-PAGE and INDEX for the present Volume.-Orders for the Supplemental Number (viz. No. 27, of the New Series of La Belle Assemblée, or Bell's Court and Fashionable Magazine) must be immediately given to the Booksellers who supply the regular Numbers of the Work.
