IN presenting the second volume of the SUNDAY LIBRARY to the notice and patronage of the Public, the Editor cannot but express his gratification at the complete success of its precursor. While such an avowal necessarily imposes an additional obligation upon him to render this second volume deserving of equal encouragement, he feels conscious that its contents will be found in all respects equally conducive to the best interests of morality and religion. The opinion first entertained by the Editor, upon the probable success of such an undertaking, has been abundantly confirmed:-especially in cases where indisposition or distance from church renders attendance upon public worship impracticable. The Editor has only to express his thanks to those Brother Divines who have so cordially granted him permission for the insertion of their discourses; and to those Publishers (in whom the copyright has vested) who have as cordially concurred with his wishes. ...........
