IN ASSEMBLY, February 7, 1833. REPORT Of the select committee, on the petition of the commissioners for loaning money in the county of Chenango. Mr. Hyde, from the select committee to which was referred the petition of the commissioners for loaning money in the county of Chenango, REPORTED: That the petitioners represent, that in the years 1829, '30 and '31, without a knowledge of the passage of the act of 30th March 1829, they continued to reloan all the principal paid in to them in conformity to the previous law on that subject: That said loans were made in good faith: That there remained due on the mortgages taken for said loans in the years 1829, '30 and 31, the sum of $1,977.96; and they pray that a law may be passed, confirming their acts in relation thereto. Your committee are of opinion that the prayer of the petitioners is just; that legislative aid is necessary, and have directed their chairman to ask leave to introduce a bill.
