It is ambiguous whether thefe Words refer to Chrift, or to God the Father. If they refer to Christ, (as feems most natural;) the Senfe is the fame, as what the Apostle had before faid, ch. i, ver. 10 & 21, that in Chrift all things are gathered together in One, both which are in Heaven and which are on Earth; & ver. 22, that he is the Head over all things to the Church; & Col. i, 20, that by bim God hath reconciled all things to himself, whether they be things in Earth or things in Heaven; & Phil. ii, 9, that God bath given bim a Name which is above every Name, that at the Name of Jefus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things nader the Earth.
