We having accepted the faid Separate Article, have approved and ratify'd, and by thefe Prefents do approve and ratify it; promifing bona fide, and fincerely, to keep, maintain, and inviolably obferve it in all points, according to its Form and Tenor, without, ever contravening it directly or indirectly, in any fort or manner whatfoever. WE have this Moment figned, with Mef

fieurs the Ambaffadors Extraordinary of France, the Treaties of Peace and Commerce, which we fhall have the Honour to fend to-morrow to your High Mightineffes by one of our Secretaries. In the mean time, we thought it our Duty to acquaint you therewith by an Exprefs, and to congratulate your High Mightineffes thereupon with all poffibleRefpect, befeeching the Almighty to be pleafed to render this Peace firm, and fo order it, that it may ferve to augment the Luftre and Profperity of this State. We conclude with this Wifh, after having affured your High-Mightineffes, That we are with an entire Re spect and Zeal, &c.

E it known to all whom it may concern, That ΓΕ a good, firm. ftable, and folid Peace, with a fincere and perfect Amity and Reconciliation, has

been made and concluded between the most high, most excellent, and moft mighty Prince, Lewis, by the Grace of God, King of France and Navarre, our Sovereign Lord; the most high, most excellent, and moft mighty Princefs, Anne, Queen of Great britain; the most high, most excellent, and most mighty Prince, Frederick-William, King of Pruffia; the most high, moft excellent, and moft mighty Prince, VictorAmadeus, Duke of Savey; and the Lords the tatesGeneral of the United Provinces of the Netherlands; their Vaffals, Subjects, Servants, in all their Kingdoms, Countries, Lands, and Lordships under their Obedience: That the faid Peace is general between: them and their faid Vaffals and Subjects; and, That by reafon thereof, they are permitted to go, come, return, and abide in all the Places of the faid Kingdoms. Eftates, and Countries, to negotiate and carry on Trade and Commerce, maintain Correfpondence, and hold Communication with each other; and that with full Liberty, Freedom, and Security, as well by Sea as Land, and upon the Rivers and other Waters; the Whole in the manner it was, or might have been carry'd on, in Times of a good, fincere, and friendly Peace, fuch as is that which it has pleas'd the Divine Goodness to establish between the faid King, the faid Queen, the King, Prince, and States-General above named, their Peo ple and Subjects. And to maintain them therein, all manner of Perfons, of whatsoever Rank or Quality, are exprefly forbid to undertake, attempt, or make any Innovation to the contrary, or to the Prejudice thereof, upon Pain of being feverely punifh'd, as Infringers of the Peace, and Ditturbers of the Publick Tranquillity. And to the end that no Perfon may pretend Ignorance in this Matter, his Majefty has given Orders, that thefe Prefents be read,', publish'd, and affix'd in all Places where it may be neceflary. O all to whom these Presents fhall come, Jerome Bignon, Knight, Counsellor of State in Ordinary, Prevoft des Marchands; and the Efchevins of the City of Paris, Greeting. Know ye, That upon the Repre fentation which has been made to us on the part of the King's and the City's Procurator, That his Majefty, by his Letter de Cachet given at Marly, the 17th of the prefent Month of May, fign'd LOUIS; and underneath, Phelypeaux: We having directed his Order of the fame Day, for publishing the Peace concluded between his Majelty, the Queen of Great Britain,the King of Pruffia,the Duke of Savoy,and the States-General of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, and fince, that it be no ways contravened, it might be neceffary, to render more publick the faid Order, which has been read and publifh'd this Day in the ufual Places of this City, by affixing it upon the Gates thereof, and other Places under our Jurifdiction, to the end it may be executed according to its Form and Tenour; for which we are required to make Provifion. We, out of Regard to the Reprefentation and Request of the King's and the City's Procurator, have commanded, That the faid Order of his Majefty, given at Marly the 17th inftant, figned LOUIS; and underneath, Phelypeaux; and feal'd; read,and publish'd this Day,in all the ufual and accuftom'd Places of this City, be affixed upon the Gates thereof, the Bridges, Paffages, and other Places, being under our Jurifdiction, by the Diligence of the Bailiffs Commiffaries of Polity of the Town House, belonging to the Traffick by Water, and of the Bridge-Mafters; to the end that none may plead Ignorance; to be executed according to its Form and Tenour. The PROCLAMATION of Peace publifh'd at the Hague, the 2nd of May, 1713.

THE States-General of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, To all to whom these Presents fhall come, Greeting. Be it known, That to the Praife and Glory of the Lord God Almighty, and for the Profperity and Advantage of thefe United Provinces in general, and of the good Inhabitants of the fame in particular, there was made and concluded at Utrecht, the 11th of April, of the prefent Year 1713. a good, firm, faithful, and inviolable Peace,between the King of France on the one part,and us on the other part; the Ratifications whereof were exchang'd on both fides, in convenient Form, at Utrecht, the 12th of this inftant May: And, That on the fame Day, an Act was pafs'd for fhortning the Time mention'd in the Third Articles both of the Treaty of Commerce, and that of Peace: That, confequently, all Acts of Hoftility are to ceafe as well by Sea and fresh Waters, as by Land, in all the Countries and Towns depending on the Jurifdiction of both Sides, without Diftinction of Places in what Parts foever fituate; as alfo between the People and Inhabitants on both fides, of what Rank and Quality foever they be; and that, after the Expiration of the refpective Terms hereunder-mention'd; that is to fay, after the Expiration of Four Weeks, to reckon from the 11th of April, 1713. which is the Day of figning the Treaties, and therefore, after the 9th of this inftant May, in the Baltick, and North-Sea, from Terneufe in Norway, to the Mouth of the Channel; after the Term of Six Weeks, and therefore, after the 23d of the fame Month of May, from the Mouth of the Channel to Cape S. Vincent; after the Term of Ten Weeks, namely, after the 20th Day of June next, from Cape S. Vincent to the Mediterranean-Sea and the Line, and laftly, after the Space of Eight Months, to wit, after the 11th of December next, beyond
