An Act to apply, out of the General Revenue, the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds to the Service of the Three Months ending the Thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three. E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Aus- and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parlia ment assembled, as follows: of £400,000. 1. Out of the General Revenue of the said province there shall Issue and application be issued and applied, from time to time, for the service of the three months ending the thirtieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, any sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of Four Hundred Thousand Pounds. 2. No payments for any establishment or service shall be made out of the said sum in excess of the rates voted for similar establishments or services on the Estimates for the year ended the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninetythree. Payments not to exceed last year's Estimates. 3. All salaries on the said Estimates exceeding One Hundred Salaries exceeding and Fifty Pounds per annum shall be ratably reduced as follows:- £150 to be reduced. Every such salary shall be reduced at the rate of Five Pounds for every One Hundred Pounds over the said sum of One Hundred and 562 Interpretation. The expression salaries used in this Act includes salaries and allowances of every description, except travelling allowances; and where any such allowance is not stated as a fixed sum in the Estimates, the amount thereof for the purposes of this Act shall be certified by the Commissioners of Audit. [Assented to, August 30th, 1893.] E it Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows, that is to say: 1. Section 3 of "The Criminal Jurors Payment Act," No. 511 of Repeal. 1891, is hereby repealed. 2. This Act shall be incorporated with "The Jury Act, 1862." Incorporation lists. 3. Jury lists, jurors' books, and jurors' rolls made since the Operation of jury passing of "The Jury Act Amendment Act, 1886," or hereafter to be made, shall continue in operation for a period of seven years from the making thereof, or for such less period as the Governor may by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette direct. Courts. 4. The Governor, by Proclamation published in the Government Jury districts for Gazette, may constitute and define the boundaries of jury districts Supreme and Circuit for the Supreme Court, for Circuit Courts, and for such Local Courts as he may think necessary, and rescind any such Proclamation and alter the boundaries of any such district; and jury lists, jurors' books, and jurors' rolls may hereafter be made up from the names Jurors' books and from names of persons who reside within jury districts. rolls to be made up |
