Eave O my foul this bafer World below,
O leave this dolefull dungeon of wo,
And foare aloft to that fupernal reft

That maketh all the Saints and Angels bleft:
Lo there the God-heads radiant throne,
Like to ten thousand Suns in one!
Lo there thy Saviour dear in glory dight
Ador'd of all the powers of Heavens bright:
Lo where that head that bled with thorny wound,
Shines ever with celeftial honor crownd:

That hand that held the fcornfull reed
Makes all the fiends infernall dread.

That back and fide that ran with bloody ftreams
Daunt Angels eyes with their majeftick beames;
Those feet once faftened to the curfed tree
Trample on death and hell, in glorious glee.

Thofe lips once drench't with gall do make
With their dread doom the world to quake.

Behold thofe joyes thou never canft behold;
Thofe precious gates of pearl,thofe Streets of gold,
Thofe ftreams of Life, thofe trees of Paradife
That never can be feen by mortal eyes:

And when thou feeft this ftate divine,
Think that it is or fhall be thine.

See there the happy troups of pureft fprights
That live above in endlefs true delights;
And fee where once thy felf fhalt ranged be,
And look and long for immortalitie:

And now before-hand help to fing
Allelujabs to Heavens King.
