THE following Address was spoken before the New England Society of Montreal, and a public audience, on Thursday evening, 22nd December inst., the anniversary of the Landing of the Pilgrim Fathers. The chair was taken on the occasion by the President of the New England Society. On the platform were seated the Presidents and official representatives of the various National Societies of the city-English, Scottish and Irish. The Address was spoken from detached notes; and having been requested for publication by the New England Society, and by others who heard it, the following report has been prepared from the notes, and from memory.
