10 I felt confidence, though I said:

I am exceedingly afflicted

11 Though I said, when fleeing in terror: All men are deceitful.

12 What shall I render unto Jehovah,
For all His kindnesses towards me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the Name of JEHOVAH.
14 I will pay my vows unto JEHovah,
Even in the sight of all His people.
15 Precious, in the eyes of JEHOVAH,

Is the death of His pious worshippers.

16 I pray Thee now, O JEHOVAH-for I am Thy servant, I am Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid.

THOU hast loosened my bonds.

17 Unto Thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And I will call upon the Name of JEHOVAH.

18 I will pay my vows unto Jehovah,

Even in the sight of all His people—

19 In the courts of the House of JEHOVAHIn the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.

PSALM CXVII.

1 PRAISE JEHOVAH, all ye nations,

Laud Him, all ye people.

2 For great is His loving-kindness towards us,

Yea, the faithfulness of JEHOVAH endureth for ever.
Praise ye JEHOVAH !

1 GIVE ye praise unto JEHOVAH, because He is goodBecause His loving-kindness endureth for ever.

2 Let Israel now say:

Let those now,
who reverence JEHOVAH, say:

5 In my strait I called upon JEHOVAH;

JEHOVAH answered me and set me at large.

I fear not what man can do unto me.

7 JEHOVAH is my helper,

Therefore shall I witness the fall of those who hate me.

8 It is better to take refuge with JEHOVAH,

Than to place confidence in man.

They are extinguished like a fire of thorns!

17 I shall not die, but live

And recount the works of JEHOVAH.

18 JEHOVAH chastised me severely,

But He did not give me up unto death.

19 Open for me the sacred gates;

I will enter by them, I will praise JEHOVAH.

20 This is the gate of JEHOVAH;

The righteous are wont to enter by it.

21 I will praise Thee, because Thou hast answered me, And art become my salvation.

The stone, which the builders rejected,

Is become the chief corner-stone.

By JEHOVAH hath this been done;

It is wonderful in our eyes!

This is the day which JEHOVAH hath appointed;
Let us exult and rejoice in it:

"I pray now, O JEHOVAH, bring salvation!

"I pray now, O JEHOVAH, bring deliverance!"

2 Happy are those, who observe His revealed word—

Who seek Him with their whole heart!

3 Yea, those who do not practise evil,
But walk in His ways!

4 THOU hast enjoined Thine ordinances,
That they may be strictly kept.
50 that my ways were so established,
That I might keep Thy statutes!
6 I shall not be put to shame,

While I regard all Thy commandments. 7 I praise Thee with sincerity of heart,

For having taught me Thy righteous judgments.

8 THY statutes do I keep;

Do not Thou forsake me utterly.

9 By what means may a young person keep pure his path? By setting a guard over himself, according to Thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought Thee;

Suffer me not to go astray from Thy commandments. 11 Within my heart have I treasured up Thy words, That I might not sin against Thee.

12 Blessed art Thou, O JEHOVAH!

Teach me Thy statutes.

13 With my lips, have I recounted

All the judgments of Thy mouth.

14 I delight in the way of Thy revealed word,

As in abundance of wealth.

15 Upon Thine ordinances do I meditate,
