No. 192. Senate bill entitled an act to provide a plan of settlement of the public debt, was, on motion of Mr. TALIAFERRO of Norfolk city, taken up out of its order on the calendar.

Mr. TALIAFERRO of Norfolk city moved to postpone the bill and make it the special and continuing order for to-day at 12 o'clock. Mr. MCCAULL moved to postpone until 1 o'clock; which was rejected.

The motion of Mr. TALIAFERRO of Norfolk city was agreed to. On motion of Mr. WALLACE, the rules were suspended, and the House proceeded to the consideration of House engrossed bills.
