WITH AN ENGRAVING.

To all to whom these presents shall come, &c., &c.— The nature of our invention consists

First, in certain improvements in the construction of a furnace, in which the cuvettes or cisterns are placed for fluxing and refining glass or other vitreous products.

Secondly, in certain improvements in the construction and arrangements of implements used in the process of casting plate glass or other vitreous products.

Thirdly, in certain improvements in the mode of reducing the temperature of annealing kilns, constructed in the ordinary manner, and in a new construction and arrangement of annealing kilns.

Fourthly, in certain improvements in the machinery for grinding glass or other vitreous products.

Fifthly, in certain improvements in the machinery for polishing glass and other vitreous products.
