LXVIII.

1. Worthy O Lord art thou alone,
Eternal praises to receive;

Immortal love surrounds thy throne,
And by that love, e'en angels live.

Therefore with Angels and Archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify thy glorious name; evermore praising thee, and saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD GOD of Hosts, Heaven and earth are full of thy glory: Glory be to thee, O LORD most High. Amen.

END OF PART I.

PART II.

LXIX.

Ps. 90.-1. Heb. 1.-10-12.

1. Thou didst, O MIGHTY GOD! exist
Ere time began his race;
Before the ample elements
Fill'd up the voids of

space.

2. Ere men ador'd, or angels knew,
Or prais'd thy wondrous name ;
Thy bliss, ETERNAL SPRING of life!
And glory were the same.

3. And when the pillars of the world
With sudden ruin break,

And all this vast and goodly frame
Sinks in the mighty wreck;

4. When from her orb the moon shall start,
Th' astonish'd sun roll back;
While all the trembling starry lamps,
Their ancient course forsake:

5. For ever permanent and fix'd,
From interruption free;
Unchang'd in EVERLASTING YEARS
Shall thy existence be.

LXX.

Job. 11.-7.

1. Canst thou, by searching find out God, Thou feeble child of man?

Canst thou, his matchlees GLORY grasp,
Within thy narrow span

?

2. Yet stretch, my soul, thy utinost powers,
And thy whole strength exhaust;
Well pleas'd the endless prospect view,
In love and wonder lost.

3. Thou art exalted, O my GoD!

Our highest praise above; Thy GREATNESS is unsearchable, And boundless is thy Love.

4. Thy way is in the trackless deep,
Thy footsteps are not known;
High as the heavens thy MERCY is;
And JUDGMENT is thy throne :

5. Wondrous and wise are all the works Of thine ALMIGHTY Hand:

The thunder of thine awful pow'r
Who LORD can understand?

LXXI.

1. Above Jehovah spreads the sky
So glorious to behold,

Ting'd with a blue of heav'nly dye,
And starr'd with sparkling gold.

2. Below his stormy blasts are strong,
His thunder shakes our coast,
While the red lightnings wave along
The banners of his host.

3. The earth his fruitful cloud arrays
With fields of cheerful green;
Where art a thousand herbs displays,
A thousand flow'rs between.

4. The raging mountains of the deep,
Obey his swift command,

In glassy calmness sink to sleep,
Or lash the foaming strand.

5. The Skies, the Air, the Land and Sea,

Proclaim his works abroad;

All in his loudest praise agree,
And speak their Maker GOD,
