The Presbyterians Plea: Setting forth their great Services done to the Church of England, and good Correfpondence between them, from the Reign of King Charles I. to the prefent Time. Humbly addrefs'd to the Right Honourable the Ps of England, with their dutiful Acknowledgments for their late Goodnefs towards them, in rejecting the Bill against Occafional Conformity. 1705.

H E late extraordinary Marks of your Piety and Goodness towards us, with the Concurrence of the Ls S1 in rejecting the Bill of the House of Commons for Preventing Occafional Conformity, have put us upon these two main Confiderations: First, Whether your 1- -ps flung out that Bill upon the Chriftian Principles of true Piety and Juftice, with regard to the Purity of the Doctrine we profefs, as being found Members of the true Catholick and Apoftolick Church? Or, Secondly, Whether it was the Effect of fome temporal and worldly Confideration, in order to ferve a Turn in this prefent Juncture, and to make use of us at this Time, with Intentions VOL. III.
