At the Court at Carlton-House, the 6th of April 1818,

PRESENT,

His Royal Highness the PRINCE REGENT in Council.

THIS day the Right Honourable George Henry Rose was, by command of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, sworn of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, and took his place at the Board accordingly.

Whitehall, April 7, 1818.

His Royal Highness the Prince Regent has been pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to declare and ordain, that Field-Marshal His Serene Highness Prince Leopold-George-Frederick of Saxe-Cobourg of Saalfeld, late Consort of Her Royal Highness the Princess CharlotteAugusta, deceased, shall henceforth, upon all occasions whatsoever, be styled and called, "His ROYAL HIGHNESS," before his name and such titles as now do, or hereafter may, belong to him:

And to command, that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in His Majesty's College of Arms.

His Royal Highness the Prince Regent has been pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to declare and ordain, that Field-Marshal His Royal Highness Prince Leopold-George-Frederick of Saxe-Cobourg of Saalfeld shall, for the future, use and bear the royal arms (without the inescocheon of Charlemagne's crown, and without the Hanoverian royal crown) differenced with a label of five points argent, the centre point charged with a rose gules, quarterly with the arms of His illustrious House, the royal arms in the first and fourth quarters:

And also to command, that the said royal concession and declaration be rigistered in this College.

Carlton-House, April 6, 1818.

This day the Baron de Stierneld, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary from His Majesty the King of Sweden, and the Baron de Gerning, Envoy Extraordinary from His Serene Highness the Landgrave of Hesse Hombourg, accompanied by the Baron de Krane, Marshal of the Court of His Serene Highness, had their first private audiences of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent to deliver their respective credentials; to which they were introduced by Lord Viscount Castlereagh, His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and conducted by Robert Chester, Esq. Assistant-Master of the Ceremonies.

Queen's-Palace, April 6, 1818.

This day the Baron de Stierneld, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary from His Majesty the King of Sweden, and the Baron de Gerning, Envoy Extraordinary from the Landgrave of Hesse Hombourgh, accompanied by the Baron de Krane, Marshal of the Court of His Serene Highness, had audience of Her Majesty; to which they were introduced by the Earl of Morton, Her Majesty's Lord Chamberlain, and conducted by Robert Chester, Esq. Assistant-Master of the Ceremonies.

Downing-Street, April 6, 1818.

His Royal Highness the Prince Regent has been pleased, in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty, to appoint General His Grace the Duke of Richmond, &c. K. G. to be Captain-General and Governor in Chief of the Provinces of Lower and Upper Canada, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Islands of Prince Edward and Cape Breton.

Queen's-Palace, Tuesday, April 7, 1818.

THIS evening at eight o'clock, the solemnity of the marriage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Elizabeth, daughter of His Majesty, with His Serene Highness Frederick-Joseph-LouisCharles-Augustus, Landgrave and Hereditary Prince of Hesse Hombourgh, Prince of Hersfeld, Count of Catzenellenbogen, Dietz, Ziegenhayn, Nidda Hanau Schaumburgh, Isenburg, and Budingen, &c. &c. was performed in the Grand Saloon at the Queen's-Palace, by His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen, their Royal Highnesses the Dukes of York, Clarence, Kent, and Gloucester; Her Royal Highness Princess Augusta-Sophia, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York, Her Royal Highness the Princess Sophia of Gloucester, the Great Officers of State, the Ambassadors and Ministers from Foreign States, the Officers of the Household of Her Majesty the Queen, the Officers of the Household of His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, and of the younger branches of the Royak Family, assisting at the ceremony.

At the conclusion of the marriage service the registry of the marriage was attested with the usual formalities.

The Great Officers of State, Nobility, Foreign Ministers, and other persons of distinction present, then paid their compliments on the occasion, after

which Her Majesty the Queen, the Bride and Bridegroom, with the rest of the Royal Family retired to Her Majesty's private apartments.

The Bride and Bridegroom soon after left the Queen's-Palace for His Royal Highness the Prince Regent's Lodge, Windsor-Park.

Immediately after the conclusion of the marriage the Park and Tower guns were fired, and the evening concluded with other public demonstrations of joy in the metropolis.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Her Majesty will hold a Drawing-Room at the Queen's◄ Palace, on Thursday the 23d instant, at two o'clock, to celebrate His Royal Highness the Prince Regent's birth-day.
