ARRANGEMENT OF CLAUSES.
Preamble recites Charter and Foundation of College, and Object of
Bill. Constitution of College of Christ of Brecknock; Sect. 1. Government of College to be vested in Trustees nominated under
Order of Court of Chancery, and Incorporation of same; 2. Lands and Hereditaments to be discharged from Uses and Trusts of
Charter of Henry the Eighth. Not to discharge present Holders or Representatives of deceased Holders from Pensions and Dilapi
dations; 3. Endowment of College; 4. Commissioners to provide Fund for the Restoration of Church and
School Buildings ; 5. Payment in respect of past Rents and Profits; CLAUSE A. Ecclesiastical Commissioners to propose a Scheme to
Court of Chancery for Establishment of College ; 7. Power to acquire and hold Site; 8. Lands Clauses Consolidation Act incorporated herewith as to Purchase
of Lands from Persons under Disability ; 9. In case of Removal of Collegiate Establishment Collegiate Church to
become the Parish Church of Saint David's, Brecknock; 10. Power to borrow Money; 11. Powers of leasing and Management of Estates ; 12. For Investment of surplus Income; 13. Application to Court to be “ In the Matter of the College of Christ
of Brecknock ;” 14. Costs; 15. Residue of Property, except Lands and Pensions in Second Schedule,
to reinain vested in Ecclesiastical Commissioners and other Holders
of same for the Time being; 16. Power to Ecclesiastical Commissioners to set apart specific Pre
bends in commutation of Proportion of Profits reserved to
College ; 17. Compensation to Bishop of Saint David's for Relinquishment of Lands, &c. ; 18.
Offices of Lecturer, Treasurer, &c. to cease on passing of Act; 19. Power to transfer Prebends of College of Christ of Brecknock to
College of Saint David's, Lampeter, and to transfer Saint David's College to Brecknock; also to annex College of Christ of Brecknock
to College of Saint David's ; 20. Proviso as to Education in case of the Removal of the College to
Brecknock ; 21. Power of Augmentation may be exercised as to Saint David's either
before or after Annexation with College of Christ of Brecknock; 22. Reference to Act; 23. SCHEDULES.

THEREAS the College of Christ of Brecknock in South Preamble.
Wales, was founded by King Henry the Eighth by His
Royal Charter bearing Date the Nineteenth Day of January in the Thirty-second Year of His Reign, whereby, after 5 stating that His Majesty's Subjects dwelling in the Southern
Part of Wales were unable by reason of their Poverty to educate their Sons in good Letters, and by reason of their Ignorance of the English Language were unable to understand those Laws
and Statutes which they were bound to obey, and that the said 10 Foundation was intended to comprise a Grammar School and Divinity
Lectureship, for providing Instruction both in Letters and Divinity, by competent Instructors, and Stipends or Commons for a certain Number of poor Scholars, His said Majesty did establish a Grammar
School and Divinity Lectureship, and provide thereby gratuitous 15 Instruction, both in Letters and Divinity, by competent Instructors, 665. A
