PREFACE. THE PUBLISHING COMMITTEE, in issuing this, the Seventh Annual Volume of the current series of the TRANSACTIONS OF THE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF THE STATE OF ALABAMA, do so under more favorable circumstances than heretofore. The rapidly increasing membership of the Association demands some alteration in the general arrangement of the present volume. The Committee have, therefore, thought best to add these new features, believing them of vital importance to the welfare and perpetuity of the various Society Organizations throughout the State. We trust these additions will prove useful in keeping up that high standard of moral and professional excellence which they have already obtained. We issue 650 copies of the present volume. T. A.
