And the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of faid City fhall on the fecond Tuesday of July next, at three of the Clock in the Afternoon, hold a Meeting at the State-Houfe in the fecond Mayor,&c. on faid Hartford, and fhall then and there choofe thirty-fix Freemen Tuesday of Juof faid City to serve as Jurors until the first Monday of June then ly next, to next, and the Name of each Perfon thus chofen, fhall be fairly choose thirtyfix jurors. written on a separate Piece of Paper and be put into the JuryBox by this Act to be provided by the Clerk of faid City Court, and shall be drawn out in the Manner herein before provided with refpect to Jurors.

Always provided, That any Thing in this Act notwithstanding, Provife. the Inhabitants living within the. Limits of faid City fhall to all Intents and Purposes be and remain a Part of faid Hartford.

39. And whereas it is not equitable that any of the Inhabitants of that Part of the Town of Hartford, not included within the Limits of faid City, nor poffeffed of real Estate within faid Limits, fhould be fubjected to any Burdens which may hereafter arife in Confequence of this Act of Incorporation.

Be it further enacted, That all Charges and Expences that shall accrue or may be incurred in Confequence of this Act of Incorporation, fhall be born and defrayed by Taxes on the Polls of the Inhabitants of faid City, and the rateable Eftate contained within faid Limits, except fuch and fo much of the live Stock belonging to any of the Inhabitants of faid City as fhall be railed and fupported from their Lands lying out of the Limits of faid City.

40. Provided nevertheless, That if this Act, or any of the Provifions in this Act contained, fhall be found inconvenient, or in any respect inadequate, the fame may be altered or revoked on Reprefentation of the City or otherwife, by the General Affembly.

41. Provided nevertheless, That the Judges of faid City Court may, and they are hereby authorised to hear, try and finally determine all Caufes brought before the City Court by a Jury of fix Freemen, or without a Jury, where neither of the Parties defire to have a Caufe decided by a Jury, or by more than fix Jurors.

42. And this A&t hall to all Intents and Purposes be a public Act.

Provided, That fuch By-Laws, made by faid Court of Common-Council, fhall be approved by faid City, in legal Meeting affembled, and after being fo approved, fhall be publifhed at least three Weeks fucceffively in fome public Newfpaper in, or near faid City.

2. And all fuch By-Laws, of faid City, made as aforefaid, fhall at any Time within fix Months, after they are made, be liable to be repealed by any Superior Court, holden in the County of Hartford, if by fuch Superior Court, on a hearing, judged to be unreasonable or unjust.
