Officers elected at the first general meeting yearly; each yacht one vote. Entrance fee, $50; annual dues, $25. Annual regatta in June; course about forty miles; time within eight hours. Yachting season, May 1st to December 1st. Standard of measurement: Areas of three sections, from the water-line to the intersection of outer planking, with keel, one taken amidships, another equidistant therefrom to the stem, the third equidistant therefrom to the stern, in square feet. The cubical contents of the immersion or displacement, calculated by multiplying the sum of the areas of the three sections by one fourth of the length on water-line, in feet and decimals. The cube roots of the displacements multiplied by 100 are the basis of comparative allowances of time or apportionments. In the club fleet are 37 schooners, 7 sloops, and 4 steamers. The yachts whose measurements are not specified in the above table were not remeasured according to the new scale adopted last year. 46.08 875 55.84 1149 44.00 New-York Marketing. The game laws of the State prohibit the sale of venison, quail, partridges, and some other kinds of game, after January 1; but in consequence of the immense supplies thrown on the market after that time from the West, the laws are not strictly enforced. The facilities now afforded by railroads and steamboats for rapid transportation of freight enable New-York market-men to keep most kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables on sale all the year round.
