LOUISIANA-Continued.

In 1868, the State canvassers threw out the votes of twelve parishes on the alleged ground of informality; these parishes voted as follows: Seymour, 32,350; Grant, 5405. The whole vote of the State therefore was. Seymour, 75,539; Grant, 33,316; Seymour's majority, 42,226. Total vote of the State, 108,855.
