Lane, or publick Way fhall not exceed five Yards in Breadth from the Foundation Walls of the Houfes or other Buildings, on the one Side thereof, to the Foundation Walls of the Houfes or other Buildings on the other Side thereof, (the faid Twelve Inches to be meafured from the old Foundation Wall of the Houfe or Building to which any fuch Projection fhall be affixed) the Perfon or Perfons making or continuing any fuch Projection, or caufing the fame to be made or continued, will be profecuted for a publick Nufance, and fuch Projection will be removed and taken away. Provided nevertheless, and it is hereby declared, That nothing in this Order contained is intended to authorize or encourage any Projection or Incroachment to be made or continued in any Street, or publick Way within the faid City or the Suburbs thereof, although the fame fhall exceed Seven Yards in Breadth. And it is hereby further ordered, by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Butcher or other Perfon fhall caufe, or willingly fuffer, any flaughtered Calf, Sheep, or other Animal, or any Part of any flaughtered Calf, Sheep, or other Animal, to be hung up on the Outfide of his or her Shop or other Place in any publick Street of this City, fuch Butcher or other Perfon will be profecuted for a Nufance.
