Defend your Niding hearts; and, trembling, think
How those who buffeted Afdiction's waves
With vig'rous Virtue, funk in Pleasure's calm.

That space of time has given me an opportunity of making observations, by which I wish I had improved more, and were better able to improve others.

I have seen with pleasure, and do fee, in the religious world, many faithful witnesses to the truth and spirit of the Gospel; but am the grieved spectator of others, who did run well, and are hindered; yea, some are reverted wholly to the course of this world.
