And Whereas it is expedient, pursuant to the Provifions of 39 & 40 G. 3. the faid Acts for the Union of Great Britain and Ireland, that in c. 67. refpect of the increafed Duties impofed by this Act, and the Sche- 40 G. 3. IV. And be it further enacted, That all the Duties and Draw- Duties, &c. backs in this Act, and in the refpective Schedules hereunto annexed, (except on Salt) fpecified, mentioned and contained (except the Duty and Drawback paid in British on Salt imported into or exported from Ireland), fhall be paid and Currency. payable, and received and receivable in British Currency; and that Fund. fuch Duty and Drawback on Salt fhall be paid and payable in Irish Currency; and that all the faid Duties fhall be carried to and made Part of the Confolidated Fund of Ireland; and that all the faid Duties, and all Drawbacks in the faid Schedules fpecified, mentioned Duties, &c. paid and contained, fhall be paid and received upon the feveral Articles according to and Things in this Act, and the respective Schedules hereunto an- Tale, Weight, nexed, fpecified, mentioned and contained, according to the Tale, &c. Weight, Guage, Measure or Value of the faid Articles respectively fpecified; and also in Proportion upon any greater or less Number, Weight, Quantity, Meafure or Value of fuch Articles, Matters and Things refpectively.

V. the faid Schedule fpecified) fhall be charged and payable on all fuch Goods, Wares and Merchandize as fhall not have been entered on or before the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, or on which the Duties due and payable on the Importation thereof shall not have been paid before the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, notwithstanding fuch Goods, Wares and Merchandize may have been imported into Ireland before the faid Sixth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and fourteen; and that the faid Duties on Deals and Deal Ends and Mahogany, fhall be charged and payable on all fuch Deals and Deal Ends and Mahogany, as fhall be entered at any time after the Expiration of Ten Days next after the paffing of this Act.

VI. Provided always, and be it further enacted, That the Duties granted, mentioned and fet forth in this Act, and the faid Schedule marked (A.) thereto annexed, fhall be charged and payable on all fuch Goods, Wares and Merchandize therein mentioned as having been imported into Ireland, fhall have been or fhall be warehoufed, or fhall have been fecured without the Duties due on the Importation thereof having been firft paid, and fhall remain or shall have remained fo warehoufed or fecured, on or after the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, in pursuance or by Authority of any Act or Acts of Parliament in force for that Purpofe, although fuch Goods, Wares or Merchandize may have been imported before the faid Sixth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and fourteen: Provided always, that fuch Duties fhall not be charged or payable on any fuch Goods, Wares or Merchandize, until the time when the Duties which fuch Goods, Wares or Merchandize fhall have been fubject to before the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, would have been payable by Law.

VII. Provided also, and be it enacted, That in all cafes where the Whole or any Part of the Duties on the Importation of Goods, Wares and Merchandize into Ireland are permitted to be fecured by Bond or otherwise, by virtue of any Act or Acts of Parliament in force in Ireland, at the time of fuch Importation, the Duties by this Act and the Schedule thereto annexed marked (A.) granted or impofed may, in like manner, and under the fame Rules, Regulations, Reftrictions and Conditions, be permitted to be fecured by Bond or otherwise.

VIII. And be it further enacted, That all and every the Duties of Customs on the Importation into Ireland of any Goods, Wares and Merchandize, not being the Growth, Produce or Manufacture of Great Britain, and all Drawbacks in respect of fuch Duties as granted or impofed and made payable or allowed in and by all or any and every of the Acts hereinafter mentioned, or any Schedule or Schedules to the faid Acts annexed, or in or by any Act for continuing or amending the faid A&ts, or any of them, fhall, from and after the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, ceafe and determine, and fhall be no longer paid or payable; that is to fay, in and by an Act made in the Forty fifth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled An Ad for granting to His Majefty, until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and fix, certain Rates and Duties, and to allow certain Drawbacks and Bounties upon Goods, Wares and Merchandize,

Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and fourteen, certain new and additional Duties on the Importation, and to allow Draw backs on the Exportation of certain Goods, Wares and Merchandize into and from Ireland, and the Schedule to the faid A&t annexed; and in and by an Act made in the prefent Seffion of Parliament, intituled An Ad to continue, until the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and fifteen, and to amend feveral Ads for granting certain Rates and Duties, and for allowing certain Drawbacks and Boun ties on Goods, Wares and Merchandize imported into and exported from Ireland; and to grant additional Duties on the Importation, and to allow Drawbacks on the Exportation of certain Goods, Wares and Merchandize into and from Ireland, until the Fifteenth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fifteen, and to make further Regulations for fecuring the Collection of the faid Duties, and the Schedule thereto annexed; and that, from and after the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, the Duties and Drawbacks by this Act and the Schedule marked (A.) thereto annexed, granted on Goods, Wares and Merchandize, not being the Growth, Produce or Manufacture of Great Britain, and the Drawbacks in refpect thereof mentioned, specified and set forth in this Act, and the faid Schedule, fhall be paid and payable, and allowed and allowable, on all fuch Goods, Wares and Merchandize, in lieu of the Duties and Drawbacks thereon under the faid hereinbefore recited Acts, or any of them; fave and except only as relates to any Arrears of the faid Duties under the faid recited Acts due and payable on the faid Sixth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and fourteen, and fave only as is hereafter provided in and by this prefent A&t.

IX. And be it further enacted, That in all cafes where by the faid recited A&t of the Forty fifth Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign for granting Duties on Goods imported into Ireland, or any Schedules thereto annexed, any Duties were imposed or made payable on any Articles, Matters or Things, which are not fpecified or enumerated in the Schedule marked (A.) to this Act annexed, all fuch Articles, Matters and Things not fo specified or enumerated in the faid Schedule to this Act annexed, fhall pay the Duty in the faid Schedule to this A&t annexed, according to the Value thereof, as Goods, Wares and Merchandize not being enumerated or defcribed in the faid Schedule to this A&t annexed, and accordingly as the fame fhall or fhall not be in part or wholly manufactured, in lieu and inftead of the Duties on the said Articles, Matters and Things fpecified or enumerated in the Schedule annexed to the faid recited Act of the Forty fifth Year of His present Majefty's Reign as aforefaid; and that where any Articles, Matters or Things which were not enumerated in any Schedule annexed to the faid recited Act of the Forty fifth Year of His Majesty's Reign are enumerated or defcribed in the Schedule marked (A.) to this A& annexed, fuch Articles, Matters and Things fhall be liable as enumerated Articles to the Duties in the faid Schedule (A.) to this A&t annexed, mentioned and specified, in lieu of the Duty on the cles, under Act. Value thereof to which fuch Articles, Matters and Things were liable, as not being enumerated in the Schedule annexed to the faid recited Act of the Forty fifth Year of His Majefty's Reign aforefaid.

Goods, and Wares, on Vellum and Parchment, and on Mead, and Metheglin, and on Vinegar, fhall be paid according to the Amount thereof fpecified, and as the fame are granted and made payable in and by the Acts for the Union of Great Britain and Ireland; and 40 G. 3. (I.) that the Countervailing Duties and Equivalent Drawbacks on Refined c. 38. Sugars fhall be paid according to the Amount thereof specified, and as the fame are granted and made payable in and by the faid recited Act of the Forty fixth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, in
