On motion of Mr. WOOLFOLK, Resolved, that a special committee of five be appointed, whose duty it shall be to investigate the charges made in regard to the deficiency in the quantity and quality of the rations furnished to the slaves working on the fortifications near Richmond, as well as to their general treatment, with power to send for witnesses, and report thereon to this house.
