THE free ufe of all Ports, Harbours, and Shores is allowed for landing Nets, erecting Stages and Tents, and curing Fish, excepting the customary Duties which are payable within built Harbours or Piers. 29 Geo. II. p. 47. 48.

BOUNTY allowed on Fifh cured in Scotland, brought Coastwife into England, and thence exported to Foreign Parts. 29 Geo. THE former Bounty of 30 s. per Ton contained in Acts 23 and 28 Geo. II. is declared to ceafe; and in lieu thereof a Bounty of 50s. per Ton is allowed on Veffels employed in the Fishery. 30 Geo. II. p. 58.]-Liberty is given to use fuch Nets as are beft adapted to the Fisheries; provided each Bufs has the fame Quantity as in the firft-mentioned A&t.

The Certificates to be given by the Infpectors.-The Oaths to be varied conform to the Alteration of the Nets. Liberty is given to the Society to employ their Veffels in the Intervals of the Fifhery, in other Bufinefs. The Regulation of 29 Geo. II. of the Thickness of Barrel Staves, is not to extend to Barrels used in the Herring Fishing.-The free Ufe of

Ports, Shores, &c. below High Water Mark, and 100 Yards above on waste Ground, is allowed for all the Purposes of the Fishing.-The Tonnage Bounty is not to be paid, till a Certificate is produced of the Duty to Greenwich Hofpital being paid. 30 Geo. II. p. [60.] [61.] [62.] &c.

ALL Perfons coming under the Four following Defcriptions, are exempted from being impreffed in to the King's Service, viz.

ift, Matters of fifhing Veffels, who have, or, within Six Months before applying for a Protection, fhall have had One or more Apprentices, under Sixteen Years of Age, bound for Five Years, and employed in the Fishing Business.

2dly, All Apprentices to Masters of fishing Veffels, during their Apprenticeship, till the Age of Twenty. 3dly, One Mariner, befides the Master, of a fishing Veffel, &c.

4thly, Any Landman employed in fuch Veffel for Two Years from the Time of his first going to Sea, and to the End of the Voyage, &c. 2 Geo. III. p. 70. 71. 72.

AFFIDAVIT must be made of the above Circumftances before the Admiralty, in order to fecure the Benefit of the Act to Perfons claiming it. Ibid. p. 72.And the Admiralty, unless they fufpect the Truth of the Affidavit, fhall grant a Protection to fuch Perfons; on producing which, they are to be released, if impreffed.-Penalty of difregarding fuch Protections. A BOUNTY of Thirty Shillings per Ton on all decked Veffels employed in the Fisheries, from Twenty to Eighty Tons Burden, -to be paid out of the Monies produced by the Customs or Excife.Thefe decked Veffels must have on board Twelve Winchefter Bushels of Salt for every Laft of Fish; and every Veffel of Twenty Tons must have at least

Six Men on board.-Oath to be taken by the Mafter of fuch Veffels.-All Perfons employed in the Fisheries may fifh in any Part of the British Seas, and have the free Ufe of all Ports and Harbours, Shores, &c.-Perfons to whom the Bounty remains unpaid fhall have Interest of 3 1. per cent. paid by the Commiflioners of the Customs. 11 Geo.
