STANZAS

SUGGESTED BY A VIEW OF BOSTON FROM THE CUPOLA OF THE STATE-HOUSE.

FROM Albion's isle I come,

I was born on a foreign strand,

And am proud on this spot to stand.

O, much did I long to see

The scenes of their bright career,

Of the good, the brave, the free,—

Of their toils and their triumphs here!
