Write a sketch of the life and writings of James Russell Lowell, using some or all of the topics in Lesson I. This work will be much easier if, before writing, you make full notes of your study of the topics in the previous lesson. LESSON III. Dictation and Conversation Exercise. The following extracts were selected from Lowell's poems: 1. A little of thy steadfastness Rounded with leafy gracefulness, Old oak, give me. 2. Glorious fountain! Let my heart be Fresh, changeful, constant, upward, like thee. 3. 'Tis heaven alone that is given away, Tis only God may be had for the asking. 4.
