The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

Prayer by Rev. Frank A. Blessing.

The journal of Thursday, June 25th, was read and approved. Mr. Knight moved a call of the Senate.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was determined in the affirmative.

By direction of the President, the Clerk called the roll, when the following senators responded:

The Clerk furnished a list of the absentees to the sergeant-atarms, who appeared in due time before the bar of the Senate with Messrs. Kleinfeld and Kirkland, each of whom was excused.

Mr. Knight moved that further proceedings be continued with the call of the Senate pending.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was determined in the affirmative.

Mr. Mastick moved that the Senate stand in recess until twelve o'clock and forty-five minutes.

ONE O'CLOCK.

At one o'clock the Senate again met.

The Assembly sent for concurrence the bill (No. 6, Rec. No. 1) entitled "An act making appropriations and reappropriations for emergencies for the current fiscal year, supplying deficiencies in former appropriations, and other expenses of government.' which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent, was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Knight, and by unanimous consent, said bill was substituted for Senate bill (No. 6, Int. No. 4) now on the order of third reading.

Also, a bill (No. 3, Rec. No. 2) entitled "An act to amend the County Law, in relation to the method of acquiring real property for public improvements in a county containing a population of

less than two hundred thousand and adjoining a city containing a population of one million or more.

which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent, was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Thompson, and by unanimous consent, said bill was substituted for Senate bill (No. 3, Int. No. 2) now on the order of third reading.

The Assembly sent for concurrence a resolution, in the words following:

Resolved (if the Senate concur), That this Extraordinary Session of the Legislature adjourn sine die Friday, June 26th, at three o'clock P. M., standard time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Ordered, That the Clerk return said resolution to the Assembly with a message that the Senate has concurred in the passage of the

same.

Mr. Walker moved that the committee on finance be discharged from the consideration of Senate bill (No. 5, Int. No. 3) entitled: 'An act making appropriation for the extension and improvement of existing State parks and the establishment of new State parks and parkways in order to create a comprehensive and unified State park system for the promotion of the recreation, instruction. and health of the people, to carry out the provisions of chapter six hundred and two of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twentyfour, and providing the methods for the acquisition of land for such purposes.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

TWO O'CLOCK AND FIFTY-FIVE MINUTES

At two o'clock and fifty-five minutes the Senate again met. The Assembly returned the Senate bill (No. 4, Int. No. 1) entitled: "An act making appropriation for the extension and improvement of existing State parks and the establishment of new State parks and parkways in order to create a comprehensive and unified State park system for the promotion of the recreation, instruction and health of the people, to carry out the provisions of chapter six hundred and two of the Laws of nineteen hundred and twenty-four, and providing the methods for the acquisition of land for such purposes, with a message that it has concurred in the passage of the same.

Ordered, That the Clerk deliver said bill to the Governor. Mr. Nicoll offered a resolution, in the words following: Resolved, That a committee of two be appointed to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the Senate has concluded its business and is ready to adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The President appointed as such committee Messrs. Nicoll and Hastings.

Mr. Pitcher offered a resolution, in the words following: Resolved, That a committee of two be appointed to wait upon the Assembly and inform that body that the Senate has concluded its business and is ready to adjourn.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said resolution, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The President appointed as such committee Messrs. Pitcher and Kennedy.

The above committees returned and reported that they have performed their respective duties.

Messrs. Hutchinson and Taylor, a committee from the Assembly, appeared in the Senate Chamber and informed the Senate that the Assembly has completed its business in Extraordinary Session and is ready to adjourn.

The journal of the day was read and approved and, pursuant to a concurrent resolution heretofore adopted, the Senate adjourned sine die.
