No. 326) entitled "An act authorizing the New York Agricultural Experiment Station at Geneva to prepare and have printed three volumes, to be known as 'The Vegetables of New York,' was read the third time.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to the final pasage of said bill, the same having been printed and upon the desks of the members in its final form for three calendar legislative days, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the Senators elected voting in favor thereof, and three-fifths being present as follows:

The Assembly returned the bill (No. 330, Assembly reprint No. 1837, Int. No. 326) entitled "An act to amend the Town Law, in relation to the removal of snow from streets and highways," with a message that they have concurred in the passage of the same with the following amendments:

Page 2, transpose the new matter italicized in lines 16 to 20 by inserting it after the period following the word "thereof" in line 12.

Page 2, line 26, after the period following the word "thereof" insert in italics "Such town board may also employ and at pleasure discharge such employees as may be necessary for the maintenance and operation of such plant or plants and fix the compensation of such employees. The supervisor of such town is hereby authorized to pay such compensation or salary without audit upon payrolls duly certified to him by the town superintendent of highways of such town."

Mr. Dick moved that the Senate concur in said amendments. The President put the question whether the Senate would concur in said amendments, and it was decided in the affirmative. The journal of Monday, March 23d, was read and approved. Mr. Hickey introduced a bill (Int. No. 1457) entitled "An act to amend chapter five hundred and seventy of the Laws of nineteen hundred and nine, entitled 'An act to establish the City Court of Buffalo, defining its powers and jurisdiction and providing for its officers,' in relation to trial by jury," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on affairs of cities.

Mr. Hastings introduced a bill (Int. No. 1458) entitled "An act to incorporate the American City Government League," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

Also, a bill (Int. No. 1459) entitled "An act to amend the Education Law, transferring to the Department of Education the functions, powers and duties of the Board of Embalming Examiners and certain powers and duties of the Department of Health and abolishing the Board of Embalming Examiners," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on public education.

Mr. Thayer introduced a bill (Int. No. 1460) entitled "An act to amend the Transportation Corporations Law, in relation to bus lines, stage routes and motor vehicle lines or routes," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time and referred to the committee on public service.

The Assembly sent for concurrence the bill (No. 1839, Rec. No. 374) entitled "An act authorizing the transfer of certain lands now occupied by the Rochester State Hospital to the county of Monroe in exchange for lands now owned by said county," which was read the first time and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.
