Three in One. Or Gods, the Heathen had Plurality; We Chriftians know there is but One, yet He Is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. One: Three. Three-One. O venerable Mystery! *I Cor. viii. 4, 5, 6. The The Father, he is God; (Gal. i. 1.) and fo, the Son; (Ro. ix. 5.) And fo, the Holy Ghoft; (Ats v. 3,4) All Three, but One. (1 Joh. v. 7.) The Father, uncreate; (Ro. xi. 36.) and fo, the Son; (John i. 3.). And fo, the Holy Ghost; (Gen. i. 2. Pfal. civ. 30.) All Three, but One. The Father, is Eternal; (1 Tim. i. 17.) so, the Son; (John viii. 58. ch. xvii. 5.) And fo, the Holy Ghoft; (Heb. ix. 14.) All Three, but One. The Father, is Almighty; (Ezek. x. 5.) fo, the Son; (Phil. iii. 21.) And fo, the Holy Ghoft; (Ifa. xl. 13.) All Three, but One. And it's no Contradiction, there should be In different Refpects, but One, yet Three. One God; in Effence, One; in Subftance, One; Father, Son,Holy Ghoft, true God, eachOne; Tho' They be not Three Gods, but only One. |
