of this Act.

WHEREAS The Venerable Joseph Christian Moore, Rector of the Parish of Andreas, and Archdeacon, is desirous to appropriate a certain Portion of his Rectorial Glebe, and to vest the same in Trustees, for the Purposes of the Education of poor Persons; and whereas Her Majesty the Queen, as Patron of Consent of the the Living, and the Lord Bishop of the Diocese, as dinary to the Ordinary, have signified their Consent to and Approval a Part of the of such Appropriation. We, therefore, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal Subjects, the Lieutenant-Governor, Council, Deemsters, and Keys of the Isle of Man, do humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lieutenant-Governor, Council, Deemsters, and Keys of the said Isle, in Tynwald assembled, and by the Authority of the same, That from and after the Promulgation of this Act, it shall and may be lawful for the said Joseph Christian Moore, in Trustees, such by Deed of Gift, to alienate from and out of the Rec- Glebe (under torial Glebe of the said Parish of Andreas, and to vest may be required in Trustees, for the Purpose of building and estab

And be it enacted, That the present Lord Bishop and Bride, to be of this Diocese, and the present Rectors of Andreas and Bride, and their Successors, shall be the legal Trustees of the said Land and of all the Premises thereunto appertaining and belonging; and that the Management of Management and Direction of the said School shall the Trustees and be in the aforesaid Trustees, and such other Persons as may be elected and appointed Managers from Time to Time, in accordance with the Terms of the Trust Deed.

And be it enacted, That if the said Land, so for the Purposes granted as aforesaid, should at any Time cease to be used for the Purposes in this Act mentioned, the same shall thereupon, Six Months' Notice having been first duly given, in writing, to all and every the Trustees and Managers of the said School, as likewise to the Church Wardens of the said Parish, revert to and become again a Portion of the Possessions of the said Rectory, as fully to all Intents and Purposes as if this Act, or any such Grant as aforesaid, had not been passed or made, anything herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

Whereas there was this Day read at the Board a
Report of a Committee of the Lords of Her Majesty's
most Honorable Privy Council, dated the 20th of
this Instant June, in the Words following, vizt. :

Your Majesty having been pleased, by your
Order in Council of the 5th of May last, to refer
unto this Committee Two Acts of Tynwald,
passed by the Legislature of the Isle of Man, on
the 10th of April last, intituled "An Act to
amend the Law relating to the Commons and
Turbaries ;" and "An Act to establish a Girls'
School in the Parish of Andreas:" The Lords
of the Committee, in obedience to Your Majesty's
said Order of Reference, have this Day taken
the said Acts into Consideration, and do

Promulgation,

humbly to report as their Opinion, to Your Majesty, that it may be adviseable for Your Majesty to approve of and ratify the said Acts. Her Majesty, having taken the said Report into Consideration, was pleased, by and with the Advice of Her Privy Council, to approve thereof, and to order, as it is hereby ordered, that the said Acts. (which are hereunto annexed) be, and the same are hereby confirmed, finally enacted, and ratified accordingly and the Right Honourable Sir George Grey, Bart., One of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, is to take the necessary Measures herein accordingly.

The before-written Act of Tynwald, intituled "An
Act to establish a Girls' School in the Parish of
Andreas," having received the Royal Assent, at the
Court at Buckingham Palace, the 25th Day of June,
1851, Present, the Queen's most Excellent Majesty
in Council, the said Act was this Day promulgated,
on the Tynwald Hill, according to the ancient Form
and Custom of this Isle. As Witness our Subscrip-

Thirtieth Day of April, in the Fourteenth Year ACT TO AMEND of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great SHEEP BY DOGS, Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, and in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty-one, Before His Excellency the Honorable Charles Hope, Lieutenant-Governor, the Council, Deemsters, and Keys.

An Act to repeal that Part of an Act of Tynwald, promulgated in the Year One thousand seven hundred and fitfy-eight, which relates to the worrying of Sheep by Dogs, and to provide a more effectual Remedy in such Cases.

WHEREAS by a certain Act of Tynwald promulgated Act of Tynwald, on the Fifth Day of July, One thousand seven hun- 31, Geo. II., 1758, dred and fifty-eight, certain Provisions were made for recovering Compensation for Damage done to Sheep and Lambs by Dogs, and for the Destruction of such Dogs as annoy People on the Highways.* And whereas it is expedient to amend the said Act so far as relates to the Remedies aforesaid, and to
