Perpetrators, Victims, Bystanders: The Jewish Catastrophe, 1933-1945

Surveys the Holocaust period by focusing on three main groups: the "perpetrators" (including biographical sketches of Hitler, high-ranking Nazi officials, Nazi lawyers and physicians, non-German collaborators in the occupied countries); the "victims" - Jewish leaders, Jewish children and women; and the "bystanders" - European political leaders, rescuers of Jews, the Churches, and the attitudes of the Allied governments toward Jewish victims and refugees.
