Congé d'Elire empowering the Dean and Chapter of the metropolitical church of Canterbury to elect an Archbishop of that see, the same being void by the death of Dr. John Bird Sumner, late Archbishop thereof. The Most Rev. Father in God, Dr. Charles Thomas Longley, now Archbishop of York, recommended to be by them elected Archbishop of the said see of Canterbury.
