Policies revived, without the exaction of a fine, at any time within twelve months. A Board of Directors in attendance daily at 2 o'clock.

Age of the Assured in every case admitted in the Policy.

On a THIRD SEPTENNIAL INVESTIGATION into the affairs of this Company, to the 25th March, 1846, a BONUS, amounting on the average to 31 per cent. on the Premiums paid for the preceding Seven Years, was assigned to all Policies of at least Three Years' standing, and effected for the whole duration of life.

To similar Policies the following BONUSES were declared at former Divisions, viz. :

First Division, in 1832.

On the average, upwards of 26 per cent. on the Premiums paid.

Second Division, in 1839.

On the average, 33 per cent. on the Premiums paid for the preceding Seven Years.

The Advantages of this Office, among others, are:

1. A participation septennially in two-thirds of the profits, which may be applied either in reduction of the Premium, or to augment the sum assured.

2. Premiums may be paid in a limited number of annual sums, instead of by annual payments for the whole of life; the Policy continuing to participate in profits after the payment of such Premiums has ceased.

3. The Assurance or Premium Fund is not subject to any charge for Interest to Proprietors.

4. Permission to pass to Continental Ports between Brest and the Elbe inclusive.

5. Parties (including. Officers of the Army, Navy, East India Company, and Merchant Service) may be assured to reside in or proceed to all parts of the world, at Premiums calculated on real data.

6. Claims to be paid within three months.

7. The Assured may dispose of their Policies to the Company.

8. No charge but for Policy Stamps.

The following are among the advantages offered by this Society:-
ECONOMY Combined with SECURITY.

The RATES of Premiums are lower than those of any other Office, which entitle the Assured to participate in the Profits, and considerably lower than those of any other Mutual Assurance Society.

The WHOLE OF THE PROFITS are divided every fifth year among the assured, and a BONUS is added, after the payment of the Fifth Annual Premium, to every Policy effected on the participating Scale, if a claim accrue thereon prior to the next division of profits.

The BONUSES declared at the three former divisions (arising from threefourths only of the profits), averaged 16, 31, and 36 per cent., respectively on the amounts of Premiums paid.

The BONUS declared in 1849 (arising from the whole of the profits), being the result of the operations of the Society during the last five years upon the Mutual Principle average 62 per cent. on the Premiums received.

The subjoined Table shows the advantages offered by this Society, resulting from low Premiums, and a division of the entire profits among the assured :
