Resolved, That when the Senate adjourns this afternoon it adjourn to meet tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, and when it adjourns tomorrow morning it adjourn to meet next Monday evening at 7.30 o'clock.

Senator Scott, for the Committee on Revision of Laws, to whom was referred "An act in amendment of chapter 7 of the Pamphlet Laws, 1895, entitled An act to prohibit the giving of cigarettes, snuff, or tobacco to minors," reported the same. with the resolution:-that it is inexpedient to legislate.

The report was accepted and the resolution adopted.

On motion of Senator Kennett, the Senate adjourned.

The reading of the journal having been commenced, on motion of Senator Emmons, the rules were so far suspended that its further reading was dispensed with.

The House of Representatives has passed a bill with the following title, in the passage of which it asks the concurrence of the Senate:

LEAVE OF ABSENCE.

Senator Wallace was granted leave of absence for the day, on account of important business.

The following entitled Senate bills were severally read a third time, passed, and sent to the House of Representatives for concurrence:

An act protecting moose, caribou, and deer, and providing for the disposition of fish and game captured or taken from persons who have illegally taken the same.

An act in amendment of chapter 184, section 4, of the Public Statutes, relating to places of holding probate courts.

The following entitled bill, having been printed, was taken from the table and ordered to a third reading this afternoon at 3 o'clock:

An act to legalize a vote passed by the town of Holderness exempting certain property of John S. Davison from taxation.

The following entitled bill, sent up from the House of Representatives, was read a first and second time and referred to the Committee on Judiciary:

An act in amendment of chapter 231, Session Laws of 1893, entitled "An act to authorize the Meredith Village Fire District to establish water-works."

Senator Cheney, for the Committee on Incorporations, reported a bill entitled "An act to change the name of the Weston & Hill Co.," and recommended its passage.

The report was accepted and the bill read a first and second time and, on motion of Senator Bodwell, the rules were so far suspended that this bill was read a third time, passed, and sent to the House of Representatives for concurrence.

Senator Howard, for the Committee on Revision of Laws, to whom was referred "An act to amend chapter 194 of Laws of 1883, establishing the Masonic Orphans' Home," reported the same in a new draft and recommended its passage.

The report was accepted and the bill in its new draft read a first and second time and, on motion of the same Senator, the rules were so far suspended that this bill was read a third time by title, passed, and sent to the House of Representatives for

concurrence.

The following entitled Senate bill, having been printed, was taken from the table and ordered to a third reading this afternoon at 3 o'clock:

An act in amendment of sections 10 and 11 of chapter 195 of the Public Statutes, entitled "The rights of husband or wife surviving in the estate of the deceased husband or wife.”

On motion of Senator Scott, a recess of fifteen minutes was taken.

The Senate having assembled, Senator Ashley, for the Committee on Finance, to whom was referred "An act to authorize the city of Manchester to appropriate a sum not exceeding $600 for the preparation and publication of the proceedings of its semi-centennial celebration," reported the same with the resolution:--that the bill ought to pass.

The report was accepted and, on motion of Senator Scott, the rules were so far suspended that this bill was read a third time and passed at the present time.

On motion of Senator Ashley, the Senate adjourned.

The following message was received from the House of Representatives by its clerk:

Senator Greenleaf, for the Committee on Incorporations, to whom was referred "An act to incorporate the Conway Electric Light, Power, and Heat Company of Conway," reported the same with the resolution:-that the bill ought to pass.

The report was accepted and the bill laid on the table to be printed under the rule.
