LIFE DEPARTMENT.

The Accumulated Premiums are over £1,650,000. The Annual Income exceeds £170,000.

The sum of £5,119,621 has been paid in claims under Life Policies.

Large Bonuses have been declared and paid as additions to the amounts assured. Premiums on Policies have been greatly reduced where parties have so applied the Bonuses on their Policies.

Persons Assuring in Great Britain have the option of Participating Rates of Premium, or of Non-Participating Rates.

Combined Provision may be made for old age and early death, so that a person may secure a sum to be paid to himself at an age agreed upon, or to his Executors if he should die before that age.

Residence in Countries beyond the limits of Europe is allowed on favourable terms; in most temperate climates without extra Premium, beyond a moderate charge for the voyage only.

Whole World Assurances are granted.

Notices of the Assignment of Life Policies are received and acknowledged.
Advances are made on Policies to the extent of their value.

Persons desiring to surrender their Assurances may receive their value in money, or in lieu thereof, may obtain a new Policy without further payment of Premium. The Directors are ready to receive proposals for Assurances, or any contingency involving payment of a sum at death.

FIRE DEPARTMENT.

This Company undertakes the Assurance of almost every species of Property in the United Kingdom, at Rates of Premium and upon principles which will be found quite as advantageous to the interests of the Assured as those offered by any other Office. The Directors can confidently refer to the well-known character of the Company for liberality and promptitude in the discharge of claims made upon it during the many years it has been established.

No charge made for Policy Stamps.

Renewals should be paid within fifteen days after the respective Quarter-days when they become due.

Losses occasioned by Lightning will be paid.

The Policies of the Company extend to cover Losses occasioned by the Explosion of Gas.

The Company is ready to receive applications for Agencies in those Towns and Districts in which it is not at present represented. Application to be made to the Secretary.

The principles of this Society are those of purely Mutual Assurance. There are no Proprietors to share in the Profits. The Rates of Premium are moderate; and hitherto the claims upon Life Assurance have been considerably less than were estimated.

Assurances may be made in this Society upon Life to any amount not exceeding £7,500, for Provision in Sickness, for Annuities during early years of Education, for Endowments, &c. &c.

BONUS.

At the end of every Fifth Year profits are equitably apportioned amongst existing Life Assurances. By means of Bonus upwards of Three Hundred of the earlier Life Assurances have been relieved altogether from payments of Annual Premiums and additions made to the sums assured. £200,500 was divided amongst Life Assurances in May, 1866. The next Bonus will be due on 1st June, 1871.

REDUCED ANNUAL PREMIUMS.

The Clergy and all others qualified to make Assurances upon Life in this Society are informed that Assurances upon Life may be made upon payment of Reduced Annual Premiums, viz., upon payment of "four-fiths" of the rates chargeable according to the Table as above, subject to certain conditions.

Applications for Prospectuses, or further information, to be made at the Office.

"This Society is strictly confined to the Clergy of the Church of England, and of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, their wives and families, and the near relations of themselves and wives, and is distinguished from other Institutions by the title of

"THE CLERGY MUTUAL ASSURANCE SOCIETY."
