The House proceeded to the order of the day, on the bill entitled, An act to revive the act establishing a corporation by the name of the Walpole Manufacturing Company, approved June 20, 1817.

Which was read a third time.

Resolved, That it pass, and that its title be as aforesaid.

Ordered, That the Clerk request the concurrence of the Senate therein.

Mr. Wilson of Keene, introduced the following resolutions.

Resolved, That it is not expedient to exempt conditionally all persons enrolled and liable by law to perform military duty, between the ages of thirty-five and forty years, in the same manner as those betwee the ages of forty and fifty-five years are now exempted.

Resolved, That it is expedient to require the different regiments of militia in this State, to muster once in two years and not oftener. Resolved, That it is expedient to require one annual training of the difierent companies of militia, and no more, except to musters once in two years.

Resolved, That it is expedient to give the sum of one dollar, to cach person liable to perform active duty on parade in the militia, who shall perform all the duty required of him, which sum shall be paid once in two years after the muster of the regiment to which such persons belongs, which sum shall be paid out of the State treasury.

Which was read.

Ordered, That they lie on the table, and be made the order of the day for Tuesday next.

On motion of Mr. French

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled, An act to sever a tract of land from the town of Andover, and annex the same to the town of Franklin.

Mr. Nesmith, moved an amendment to said bill.

Which was read.

On the question, Shall it be adopted?

It was decided in the negative.

Mr. Nesmith, moved that said bill be indefinitely postponed.
On the question the yeas and nays were required by Mr. French.

"Mr. Speaker-The Senate concur with the House of Repre sentatives, in the passage of a bill entiled, An act to incorporate certain persons, by the name of the First Free Will Baptist Society in Sandwich."

Mr. Brownson, pursuant to notice given yesterday, had leave to

introduce a bill entitled, An act to apportion and distribute the arms now in the arsenal at Portsmouth among the militia.

Which was read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Hale—

Ordered, That it lie one the table.

Mr. Barnes, gave notice that he should to-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act in addition to and in amendment of an act for preventing trespasses, passed Feb. 15, 1791.

Mr. Atwood, gave notice that he should on Tuesday next, move for a reconsideration of the vote on the question for the indefinite postponment of the bill entitled, An act to sever a tract of land from the town of Andover, and annex the same to the town of Franklin, having voted in the affirmative on the question.

And then the House adjourned.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8, 1832. Mr. Scates, presented the petition of the Selectmen of Middleton, for a copy of Carrigain's map of this State.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Finance.

Mr. Page of Gilmanton, presented the petition of Daniel Gale and others, for the incorporation of a Bank.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Banks.

Mr. Lang of Milan, presented the petition of the Selectmen of the town of Milan, for the alteration of the name of said town. Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Towns and Parishes.

Mr. Putnam, from the committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the petition of Calvin Benton and others, reported a bill entitled, An act for the preservation of highways and bridges. Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That said bill be referred to the committee, on bills on their second reading.

Mr. Wilcox, from the same committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act for the suppression of frauds and cheats, reported the same without amendment.

Ordered, That said bill be read a third time on Monday next, at 10 o'clock, forenoon.

Mr. Wilcox, from the same committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to regulate attachments on mense process, reported the same without amendment.

Ordered, That said bill be read a third time to-morrow at 10 o'clock, forenoon.

Mr. Gove of Goffstown, from the same committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act relating to the organization of the Courts of Justice, reported the same in a new draft.

Mr. Gove from the committee on Roads, Bridges and Canals, to whom was referred the petition of the Directors of the Second Littleton Bridge, made a report, whereupon,

Mr. Wentworth from the committee on Agriculture and Manufactures to whom was referred the bill which came down from the Senate entitled, An act incorporating Israel's River Manufacturing Company, reported the same with an amendment, which was read and adopted.

Ordered, That it be read a third time on Monday next at 10 o'clock forenoon.

On motion of Mr. Barnes

Resolved, That the rules of the House be so far suspended as to permit all bills which are ordered to be read a third time at 10 o'clock this forenoon, to be read a third time at the present time. The House proceeded to the order of the day on bills with the following titles:

An act to repeal the charter of the proprietors of the Rindge Turnpike Road in New-Hampshire.

An act to incorporate sundry persons by the name of the Shelburne Androscoggin Bridge Corporation.

An act to incorporate certain persons by the name of the Proprietors of the Young Ladies Seminary in Derry Village.

An act to incorporate certain persons by the name of the Melville Academy.

An act to sever a certain tract of land from the town of NewChester and annex the same to the town of Wilmot.

Which were severally read a third time.

Resolved, That they pass, and that their titles be as aforesaid. Ordered, That the Clerk request the concurrence of the Senate therein.

Mr. Barnes gave notice that he should on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act to establish the office of Register of Probate for the county of Merrimack in the town of Concord.

Mr. Symmes introduced the following resolution.

Resolved, That a committee of five be appointed, with such as

the Senate may join to report at what time the present session of the Legislature may close..

Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Tenney

Resolved, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so amending the act entitled, An act for the ease and relief of poor debtors, passed July 2, 1831, That the Clerks of the courts in the respective counties in this State, be required to note on each execution by them respectively issued, the time when the contract was made or entered into, on which the judgment was rendered in such suit if on contract.

And also, the expediency of so amending said act that the form of the bond to be given under its provisions shall be prescribed, and that no person after being committed to close confinement on a second execution, issued agreeably to the provisions of said act, shall be permitted to take the poor debtors oath, until he shall have paid to the creditor or his attorney, all costs and charges which shall have occurred in consequence of such commitment, to be taxed and allowed by the Commissioners of goal delivery, before whom such debtor proposes to take the poor debtors oath,and that they report by bill or otherwise.

On motion of Mr. Wilcox

Resolved, That when the House adjourn they adjourn to meet on Monday next at 3 o'clock afternoon.

And then the House adjourned.

MONDAY DEC. 10, 1832. Mr. Gove from the committee on Roads, Bridges and Canals to whom was referred the petition of Abel Crawford, reported the following resolution:

Whereas, by a resolution of the Legislature of the State of NewHampshire at its June session 1823, granted to Abel Crawford, a certain tract of land in the county of Coos, situated between Nash and Sawyer's Location on the north, and Hart's Location on the south, and authorized the Treasurer of this State to convey the same to him on condition that the said Abel Crawford shall prior to his receiving said deed pay into the treasury of this State the sum of seventy-four dollars in consideration of said land.

And whereas, the said Abel Crawford has not paid said sum of seventy four dollars, nor received a deed and now petitions this Legislature that he have the privilege to pay said sum in labor to improve the public highways in the town of Carroll.

Therefore, be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That the treasurer of this State be authorized to convey to. Abel Crawford of Hart's Location in
