Mr. Drake, presented the petition of James Drake and others, to have a part of an Island, disannexed from Holderness and annexed to Centre-Harbor.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Towns and Parishes.

Mr. Meserve, presented the petition of Abel Crawford, for the appropriation of a sum of money, for the repair of a road inCarroll. Mr. Albec, presented the petition of the directors of the second Littleton Bridge, for an alteration in their toll.

Ordered, That they be referred to the committee on Roads, Bridges and Canals.

Mr Wilson of Haverhill, presented the petiton of sundry inhabitants of the town of Haverhill, for the relief of the militia.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Military af fairs.

Mr. Wilcox, from the committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the resolution, for the purchase of a tract of land of James Buswell, made a report, whereupon,

Resolved, That the further consideration of said resolution, be indefinitely postponed.

Mr. Wilson of Keene, pursuant to notice given yesterday, had leave to introduce a bill entiled, An act to revive the act establishing a corporation, by the name of the Walpole Manufacturing Company, approved June 20, 1817.

Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee, on Agriculture and Manufactures.

Mr. Buzzell, from the select committee, appointed to procure a suitable place, in which the Electors of President and Vice-President of the United States may meet, and inform them thereof, reported, That they have attended to the duty assigned them. On motion of Mr. Gove of Goffstown-

Resolved, That when the House adjourn in the foornoon, they adjourn to meet at 9 o'clock, in the forenoon of the next day, untill otherwise ordered.

On motion of Mr. Nesmith

The House resumed the consideration of the resolution introduced yesterday, by Mr. Page of Haverhill, in relation to military trainings, which

On motion of Mr. Nesmith, was amended by striking out the word "present" and inserting the words "inquire into the expediency of presenting."

Resolved, That it pass.

On motion of Mr. Hale

Resolved, That a committee be appointed to wait upon the Rev. Samuel Kelly, and inform him that the House will attend prayers at fifteen minutes before 9 o'clock, in the morning.

Ordered, That Messrs. Andrews, Pike and Bean of Danbury, be the committee.

On motion of Mr. French-

Resolved, That so much of the 37th rule of the House, as assigns all bills for a third reading at 3 o'clock, in the afternoon, be so far suspended, that all bills for a third reading be assigned for 10 o'clock, in the forenoon, until the House shall otherwise order.

Mr. Gibson of Francestown, from the committee on Agricul ture and Manufactures, to whom was referred the petition of Alexander Braman and others, for the incorporation of the Aquedocton Cotton Mill, made a report; whereupon,

Resolved, That the petitioners, have leave to bring in a bill.

Mr. Sawyer of Swanzey, pursuant to notice given yesterday, had leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act for the preservation of Bridges.

Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Mr. Gove of Goffstown, pursuant to notice given yesterday, had leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act regulating attachments on mense process.

On motion of Mr. Rogers

That said bill lie on the table, and that the Clerk be directed to procure three hundred printed copies thereof, and lay the same before the House,

On motion of Mr. Harvey of Sutton

Ordered, 1 hat it be referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Mr. Skinner, from the committee on Military affairs, to whom was referred the resolution as to the expediency of authorizing a distribution of the arms now in the arsenal in Portsmouth, to the several towns in this State, by leave of the House, made a report, accompanied with the following resolution.

Resolved, That it is inexpedient at present to make a distribution of the public arms among the several towns in this State and that the committee be discharged from the further consideration of that subject.

Which was read.

Resolved, That it pass.

Mr. Nesmith pursuant to the report of a committee, introduced

a bill entitled, An act to incorporate the Aquedoctan Cotton Mill Company.

Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Agriculture and Manufactures.

Mr. Skinner gave notice that he should to-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act in addition to an act entitled, An act relating to the organization of the militia and for other purpos es, passed January 3, 1829.

A message was received from the board of Electors of President and Vice-President of the Uunited States, by Mr. Barton, their Secretary, which was read and is as follows:

To the Honorable the Legislature of New-Hampshire. Concord Dec. 4, 1832. The undersigned being appointed Electors of President and VicePresident of the United States, are now present in this town, and accept the appointment.

Mr. Meserve introduced the following resolution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatatives in General Court convened, That if there have been any of the pub lic arms taken from the arsenal at Portsmouth, they should be returned forthwith.

That the resolution lie on the table

It was decided in the negative.

Mr. Gove of Goffstown, moved that the resolution be referred to the committee on Military affairs, but before the question was taken,

Mr. Murray moved, That the House do now adjourn.

Which was decided in the negative.

The question recurred on the motion of Mr. Gove.

That the resolution be referred to the committee on Military af fairs.

Which was decided in the affirmative.

And then the House adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5, 1832.

Mr. Pillsbury presented the petition of sundry inhabitants of the town of Sandown for the removal of the Superior Court and

Court of Common Pleas in the county of Rockingham, from Exeter to Chester.

Also the petition of sundry inhabitants of the town of Hawke, for the removal of the Superior Court and Court of Common Pleas in the county of Rockingham from Exeter to Chester.

Ordered, That they be referred to the committee on Towns and Parishes.

Mr. Carroll from the committee on Incorporations to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to incorporate the Portsmouth Iron Foundry Company, reported the same without amendment. Ordered, That said bill be read a third time to-morrow at 10 o'clock, forenoon.

Mr. Carroll from the same committee to whom was referred the petition of Asa Parker and others, made a report, whereupon,

Resolved, That the petitioners have leave to bring in a bill. Mr. Carroll from the same committee to whom was referred the petition of Samuel Ambrose and others, made a report, accompa nied with a bill entitled, An act to incorporate certain persons by the name of the First Free Will Baptist Society, in Sandwich. Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be read a third time to-morrow at 10 o'clock forenoon.

On motion of Mr. French-

Resolved, That a committee be appointed to report a resolution providing a compensation for the services of the Electors of President and Vice President of the United States.

Ordered, That Messrs. Noyes, Leavitt of Effingham, and Alden, be the committee.

On motion of Mr. French-

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled, An act to sever a certain tract of land from the town of New-Chester, and annex the same to the town of Wilmot.

Ordered, That it be read a second time.

Said bill was read a second time.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on bills, on their second reading.

Mr. Chase of Poplin, by leave of the House presented the petition of sundry inhabitants of the town of Poplin, for changing the place of holding terms of Courts in the county of Rocking

ham.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Towns, and Parishes.

On motion of Mr. Brownson-

Resolved, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of limiting all acts of incorporations bereafter granted, and that they report by bill or otherwise.

A message from the Senate by their Clerk-

"Mr. Speaker-The Senate concur with the House of Representatives, in the passage of a bill entitled, An act to change the name of the town of North-Effingham.

Also in the passage of a resolution granting one copy of Carrigain's map to the town of Lincoln.”

Mr. Dudley by leave of the House, presented the petition of the citizens of the town of Raymond, That the terms of the Court of Common Pleas, and Superior Court may be removed from Exeter to Chester in the county of Rockingham.

Mr. Eaton by leave of the House presented the petition of Nathaniel Emerson and others, That the term of the Superior Court, and Common Pleas may be removed to Chester in the county of Rockingham.

Ordered. That they be referred to the committee on Towns and Parishes.

Mr. Brownson by leave of the House presented the petition of Beri Bartlett and others for an additional piece of ordnance.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Military af fairs.

Mr. Harvey of Sutton, by leave of the House presented the petition of Frederick G. Stark and others for the incorporation of the Amoskeag Village Bridge.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Roads, Bridges, and Canals.

Mr. Gregg gave notice that he should to-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act to incorporate certain persons, by the name of the proprietors of the Young Ladies Seminary in Derry Village.

Mr. Peavey introduced the following resolution-

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That the Commissary General be, and he is hereby authorized, to deliver to Bradbury Hodgdon, captain of the first company of Light Infantry in the 27th regiment of militia, or to his order,sixty-four stands of arms of the best quality belonging to the State, in the arsenal in Portsmouth, upon the said Bradbury Hodgdon giving good and sufficient bonds to the State, to keep and preserve said muskets free from all expense to the State in perfect and complete order for service, and to deliver the same to any officer whom the State shall appoint, on demand, and make good all damages that may happen to said muskets.
