Mr. Wilson of Haverhill moved, That the further consideration of this bill be postponed to the next session of the Legislature. On this question the yeas and nays were required by Mr. Bruce. Those who voted in the affirmative are-

A message from the Senate by their Clerk

"Mr. Speaker--The Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the passage of the following bills.

An act in addition to, and in amendment of an act entitled, An act for the support and regulation of primary schools, passed July 6, 1827.

An act to establish the rates at which polls and rateable estate shall be assessed in making direct taxes.

The Senate insert on their amendments to the bill entitled, An act to distribute among the several towns in this State, the three per cent. stock, due this State from the United States."

Resolved, That the House adhere to their disagreement to the amendments proposed by the Senate to said bill.

On motion of Mr. Peaslee-

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled, An act for taxing locks and canals.

On motion of Mr. Nesmith

Resolved, That said bill be indefinitely postponed.

Mr. Aiken, gave notice that he should to-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act to create a new county, out of the counties of Rockingham and Hillsborough.

On motion of Mr. Sawyer of Swansey-

Resolved, That the rules of the House be so far suspended as to permit him to introduce a bill at the present time.

Mr. Sawyer, pursuant to such leave introduced a bill entitled, An act to amend an act entitled, an art imposing fines for neglect of military duty and for other purposes, passed Jan. 3, 1829. Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That said bill be referred to the committee on Military affairs.

Mr. Kimball, from the committee on Bills on their second reading, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to regulate the conveyance of estate holden in fetail, reported the same without amendment.

Ordered, That said bill be read a third time, to-morrow at 3 o'clock afternoon.

On motion of Mr. Gove of Goffstown-

Resolved, That a committee be appointed to consider the expediency of encouraging a new edition of Carrigain's State map, and the patronage to be given to the proprietor in relation thereto, and report at the next session of the Legislature.

Ordered, That Messrs. Gregg, Kent of Concord and Leavitt be the committee.

Mr. Wilson, from the same committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to amend an act imposing fines for neglect of military duty and for other purposes, made a report, whereupon,
