The House proceeded to the order of the day, on the bill which came down from the Senate entitled, An act to incorporate the Boston and Ontario Rail Road Corporation.

Which as amended by the House, was read a third time.

Resolved, That it pass as amended, and that its title be as aforesaid.

Ordered, That the Clerk request the concurrence of the Senate in said amendment.

The House proceeded to the order of the day, on the bill entitled, An act to incorporate the Dover Lyceum.

Which was read a second time.

Ordered, That it be read a third time to-morrow at 10 o'clook, forenoon.

Mr. Symmes, gave notice that he should to-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act relating to students at colleges. On motion of Mr. Lamprey-

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled, An act to prevent frauds and cheats.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Brownson moved, That the bill be amended by adding a second section-but before the question was taken,

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled, An act to incorporate the President, Directors and Company of the Lancaster Bank.

Ordered, That said bill be read a third time to-morrow at 10 o'clock, forenoon.

Mr. Skinner, gave notice that he should on Tuesday next, move for the reconsideration of the vote indefinitely postponing the bill entitled, An act for the suppression of frauds and cheats, having voted in the affirmative on that question.

The House resumed the consideration of the report of the select committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to establish the place for keeping the office of Register of Probate, in and for the county of Merrimack.

Resolved, That the further consideration of said bill be indefi nitely postponed.

And then the House adjourned.

Mr. Freese, presented the account of Benjamin Jenness.
Mr. Kennison, presented the account of H. Parsons and others.

Ordered, That they be referred to the committee on Claims. Mr. Webster, from the committee on Finance, to whom was referred so much of His Excellency the Governor's message as relates to the three per cent. stock, also the message of the Governor with the Treasurer's statement of receipts and expenditures, made a report accompanied with the following resolution.

Resolved, by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That the Treasurer of this State be, and he is hereby aurthorized to receive of the government of the United States, the amount which is now, or hereafter may become payable on the three per cent. stock of the United States, standing in the name of or due to this State, and to indorse on the certificates of said stock, the sums by him received or to deliver up said certifi cates on receiving the amount thereof, or to give such acquittances as may be necessary in the premises.

And be it further resolved, that the Treasurer of this State, retain in the treasury the sum of fifteen thousand two hundred eightyfive dollars and fifty-eight cents, so by him received to meet the ordinary expenses of government, and such appropriation thereof as may be made, and that he deposit the remainder in some one or more of the incorporated banks within this State, on the most favorable terms that shall be offered him, until the first day of July

next.

Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be read a third time on Monday next, at 10 o'clock forenoon.

Mr. Waldron, from the committee on Banks, to whom was referred the petition of Aaron Brackett and others, and of John Gile and others for a bank at Littleton, made a report, whereupon,

Resolved, That the further consideration of said petitions, be postponed to the next session of the Legislature.

Mr. Curtis, from the same committee, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to incorporate the Pesident, Directors and Company of the Strafford Republican Bank, made a report, where

Mr. Gove, from the select committee appointed on the 22nd day of June 1832, to appraise the stock, tools,&c.belonging to the NewHampshire State Prison, and to make a thorough investigation into the affairs and condition of that institution, during the recess of the Legislature, and report thereon-made a report,

Mr. Nesmith, from the committee on bills on their second reading, to whom was referred the bill entitled, An act to incorporate John B. H. Odiorne and his associates, with the right and privilege of cutting a canal, and constructing locks from Winnipisiogee Lake, commencing at the outlet of said lake to Sanbornton Bay, made a report; whereupon,

Resolved, That the further consideration of said bill, be postponed to the next session of the Legislature, and that notice thereof be given to the individuals interested, by causing a copy of said bill with this order thereon, to be published in one of the newspapers printed at Dover, three weeks successively, the last publication to be three weeks prior to the first Wedenesday of June next.

Mr. Sawyer of Dover, pursuant to notice given yesterday, had leave to introduce a bill entitled, An act in addition to an act entitled, an act empowering the inhabitants of the town of Portsmouth to appoint health officers, and for preventing nuisances in said town. Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Bills on their second reading.

The House proceeded to the order of the day on the bills with the following titles.

An act regulating the survey of sawed clapboards and shingles. An act to incorporate the President, Directors and Company of the Lancaster Bank.

An act to incorporate the Dover Lyceum.
