And whereas the Hon. Samuel Bell, at a public meeting holden at Concord, at a time when he and his political friends constituted a majority in this State, pledged himself that when he should cease to represent a majority of his constituents, he would resign--Therefore, Resolved, by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That the Hon.Samuel Bell, Senator from this State in the Congress of the United States, does misrepresent the will of a majority of his constituents, and that he be, and hereby is requested to resign his office.
