Mr. Waldron, from the committee on Banks, to whom was referred the communication of His Excellency the Governor, with the returns of the several banks in this State, made a report accompanied with a statement of the condition of the several banks in this State, which was read.

Mr. Waldron, from the same committee, to which was referred the petition of Charles Parker and others, for the incorporation of a bank in Gilmanton, made a report, whereupon

Resolved, That the further consideration of said petition be postponed to the next session of the legislature.

Mr. Nesmith, from the commitee on Bills on their Second Reading. to which was referred the bill entitled "An act to incorporate Pine River Company," reported the same without amendment.

Mr. Nesmith, from the same committee, to which was referred the bill entitled "An act to sever a part of the town of Andover and annex the same to the town of Franklin," reported the same without amendment.

Mr. Simpson, from the committee on Military Accounts, to whom was referred the account of Joseph Hill, Commissary General, reported the following resolution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That Joseph Hill receive the sum of one hundred and three dollars and ninety four cents in full fer the balance of his account and that the same be paid out of the Treasury.

Mr. Taylor, from the committee on the Alteration of Names, to which was referred the petitions of sundry individuals for the alteration of their names, reported a bill entitled "An act to alter the names of certain persons."

Mr. French, from the same committee, to which was referred the petition of sundry inhabitants of Bretton Woods for the incorporation of a town by the name of Haven, and also the remonstrance of Thomas Smith against the incorporation of said town, reported a bill entitled "An act to incorporate a town by the name of Haven."

A message from the Senate by their Clerk.

"Mr. Speaker-The Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the passage of a bill entitled "An act in addition to an act entitled an act to incorporate sundry persons by the name of the Rockingham Bank."

They have postponed to the next session of the legislature a bill entitled "An act in addition to an act regulating marriages, and for the registering of marriages, births and burials."

The following message in writing was received from His ExcelJency the Governor, by the Secretary of State, which was read, and is as follows:

Ordered, That said petition be recommitted, with instructions to report a bill.

Mr. Carroll, from the committee on Incorporations, to which was referred the petition of S. K. Livermore, and others, for an act of incorporation, and also the memorial of S. K. Livermore and others in relation to said petition, made a report, whereupon

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled "An act in addition to, and in amendment of an act relating to the powers and duties of certain officers of the militia."

Mr. Skinner moved that the bill lie on the table, and that the Clerk be directed to procure one thousand printed copies thereof and append the same to the bill reported by the state committee, providing for the organization of the militia, now ordered to be printed.

Which was decided in the negative.

The House resumed the consideration of the resolution providing at what time the present session of the legislature may close.
