A message from the Senate by their Clerk,

"Mr. Speaker-The Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the passage of the following bills.

"An act to prevent fraud in the transfer of personal property by mortgage."

An act in addition to an act entitled an act authorizing an action of replevin in certain cases, passed June 30, 1825."

"An act making appropriations for the military department." "An act to incorporate Pine River Company.'

They concur with the House in the passage of a resolution appointing Jacob Tyler to take charge of the State House.

Also in the passage of a resolution in favor of Joseph Hill,

Also in the passage of a resolution authorizing an alteration of the seats in the Representatives' Hall, with an amendment, in which amendment they ask the concurrence of the House.

The House proceeded to the consideration of the amendment proposed by the Senate to the resolution authorizing an alteration in the seats in the Representatives' Hall.

Mr. Nesmith moved that the resolution and amendment lie on the table.

The House resumed the consideration of the resolution declaring o at what time the legislature may close their present session.

Mr. Gove moved an amendment to said resolution.

Which was decided in the negative.

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled "An act in addition to an act entitled an act empowering school districts to build and repair school houses,”

Resolved, That it be indefinitely postponed."

On motion of Mr. Hale

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled "An act in addition to an act entitled an act regulating pedlers, hawkers - and showmen."

On motion of Mr. Rogers

The bill was amended.

Mr. Goodrich moved a further amendment; but before the question was taken

Ordered, That it be postponed to the next session of the legisla

ture.

By leave of the House, Mr. Sandborn from the select committee consisting of the delegation from the County of Grafton to which was referred the bill entitled "An act fixing the times and places of holding courts of Probate in the county of Grafton," made a report, whereupon

Resolved, That the further consideration of said bill be indefinitely postponed.

Mr. French, from the joint committee on Engrossed Bills, reported that they have presented to His Excellency the Governor for his approval and signature all of the bills which have been this day reported to the House as correctly engrossed.

And then the House adjourned.

FRIDAY, JUNE 22, 1832.

Mr. Nesmith presented the account of Charles G. Atherton for expenses for printing.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Printers' Ac

counts.

Mr. George presented the account of Jacob Tyler.

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. French, from the joint committee on Engrossed Bills, reported that they have examined bills with the following titles, viz.

"An act to incorporate the Ashuelot Manufacturing Company." "An act to incorporate a company by the name of the proprietors of the Gilmanton Village Manufacturing Company.

"An act to incorporate Pine River Company."

"An act to alter the names of certain persons."

"An act in addition to an act entitled an act authorizing an action of replevin in certain cases, passed June 30, 1825."

"An act to incorporate the Rockingham Mutual Fire Insurance Company."

"An act to incorporate the Contoocook Cotton and Woollen Factory."

"An act to provide further for the collection of taxes."

"An act to incorporate certain persons by the name of the Portsmouth Whaling Company," and find the same correctly engrossed. Which bills were signed by the Speaker.

Ordered, That the Clerk inform the Senate thereof.

Mr. Simpson, from the committee on Military Accounts to whom was referred the account of the Adjutant General, reported that they have carefully examined every part of said account, together with the vouchers for each and every item of the same, and they find said account rightly cast and well vouched, and that there is a balance of six dollars and twenty and one half cents to be carried to a new account.

Mr. Simpson, from the same committee to whom was referred the account of Bradbury Bartlett, the account of James Wilson, Jr., the account of John A. Webber, the account of James M. Rix and the account of Albe Cady, reported the following resolution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That there be allowed to Bradbury Bartlett thirty-six dollars, to James Wilson, Jr. forty-six dollars, to John A. Webber seventy dollars, to James M. Rix four dollars, and to Albe Cady four dollars in full of their accounts, and that the same be paid out of the treasury.

Which was read a first and second time.

On motion of Mr. Simpson

Resolved, That the rules of the House be so far suspended that all bills and resolutions may have three several readings on the same day. Ordered, That the foregoing resolution be read a third time, The resolution was read a third time.

Mr. Beck, from the committee on Printers' Accounts to whom was referred the account of Mc Farland & Ela, reported a bill entitled "An act in favor of Asą Mc Farland & Co."

Ordered, That it be referred to the committee on Printers' Accounts. Mr. Webber, from the committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred the petition of sundry inhabitants of Gilmanton in relation to hawkers and pedlers, made a report, whereupon

Resolved, That the further consideration of said petition be postponed to the next session of the legislature.

Mr. Putnam, from the same committee to which was referred the petition of William S. Deming and others for a bounty on 'foxes and a tax on dogs, made a report, whereupon

Resolved, That the further consideration of said petition be postponed to the next session of the legislature.

Mr. French, from the committee on Towns and Parishes to whom was referred the petition of Thomas Elkins and others inhabitants of the town of Northfield to be annexed to the town of Franklin, made a report, whereupon

Resolved, That the further consideration of this petition be postponed to the next session of the legislature.

Mr. Nesmith, from the committee on Bills on their Second Reading to whom was referred the bill entitled "An act authorizing sheriffs to remove prisoners in the county gaols in certain cases," reported the same without amendment.

Ordered, That said bill be read a third time.

Resolved, That it pass, and that its title be as aforesaid.

Mr. Taylor, from the committee on the Alteration of names to whom was referred the petition of Mary and Ann Seaverns, reported a bill entitled "An act to alter the names of certain persons."

Which was read three several times.

Resolved, That it pass, and that its title be as aforesaid.

Ordered, That the Clerk request the concurrence of the Senate therein.

Mr. Freese, from the committee on Military Affairs to whom was referred the petition of Otis Stackpole for assistance on account of having received a wound while in the line of his duty as Lieut. Colonel of the 39th regiment, reported the following resolution :

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened, That Otis Stackpole have and receive out of the Treasury of this State the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in full of all claims for damages and services in the militia of New-Hampshire, and the treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same accordingly.

Which was read a first and second time.
